@xyoungyx car all up and running drives really well! For some reason, the dme isn't grounding the black with purple for fuel pump relay, so for now I've run it off ignition, bad I know, but..... drift car

I need some help!! I’m doing an m52tub28 swap on my 318i e36. Will all this wiring be the same for my swap? The motor came from a 528i e39. In the video all the wires are the same. X20 has same wires except pin 7. Which is black and purple. I also have a manual harness for both. Could I keep my stock cooling system or do I have to use the 528i cooling system?

no its different as this is m52.not the tu cant use anything from 5 series except the loom its easy to wire but you need e36 6 cylinder engine arms-mounts ps pipes and all water hoses on the original e36 rad if you watch my e39 m57 video the wiring is the same on that engine except that engine had electronic throttle so its all the same except you would have 6 pins for throttle as you have cable version on m52tu

@ you’re amazing!! Today I’m trying to tackle the heater core valve and fuel system. Would I keep my 318i heater core and just plug and play the hoses? Now with the fuel system the 528i has a fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. 318i doesn’t. 318i only has two lines that go to the charcoal canister. I really need to get this car running and out of here haha!

@ don’t need to touch heater core or fuel pump.that fuel pump is the same from 1.6i to 2.8i only m3 had a different pump

@@xyoungyx see I tried keeping 318i heater core and the intake manifold won’t fit anymore. 528i heater core sits on side of strut tower. Whoever I bought the 318i from removed the fuel filter and ran a straight hose directly to this charcoal canister. On 528i it has the filter with two lines which go to fuel rail. I wish I could show you pictures but can’t on KZbin haha

What about ASC and AC what wires need to be in the loom for that to work?

i don’t use ac or asc.but for ac u keep pin 4 i believe on x20 and find the wire with the same colour on the e39 loom and match it if the car had ac before then the ac plug on chassis is separate to the engine loom so can be found on right hand side of the car near window washer bottle

I am trying to put my e39 engine into my e30 but the plugs don't seem to match what your showing, I have left the engine harness attached to the engine but one of the ecu plugs is missing from the engine harness which I have located in the car can you advise please

no mate we usually just swap the cluster for a 6 cylinder one to save the hassle of coding ect

@@MasterJunga yes thats the usual scenario mate.get clocks from 6 cylinder car.i dont mind 4 cylinder clocks as long as the engine has hard cut if its 2.5 😝 as they have bad softcuts factory
