BMW E46 318i 0-100 143PS

This is my sprint with my E46 318i.I know, I was shifting a bit slow...I'm still learning, got my license like 1 year ago and very rarely I do such things with my car.Enjoy it, and please don't talk shit about it, it wasn't meant to be a drag race car.

Can anyone help, i bought e46 2003 318i 2.0, with n42b20 engine and we had a pretty hot summer, and one day my car started boiling coolant, turns out the termostat was not opening up, changed it, bled everything like its supposed to be done, but new termostat still doesnt open, rn i have made the termostat open all the time, but maybe anyone here has some kind of solution, i asked in a forum, but there they said to boil the termostat, but i know it can open, maybe its something with the ecu, i have no idea.

Hey , I bought a used E46 318i 2003 . I've changed a lot of things in the engine that needed repairs but I still have a problem. The engine shakes as if it's cold , and I can feel the shaking inside the car . The RPM feels somewhat stable , but the engine is not how it should be . Do you any idea about this problem? Vacuum, electrical, valvetronic issue ? The old owner was very neglecting, and now she's my baby and I gotta take care of it

For example, does it have like a 1.9 L , 1.8L , 2.0 L , or is it just one which is the 2.0 L , because mine doesn't compare to your acceleration . Mine couldn't go over 180 KM/H , which is why I'm asking about the engine

@@HD7970Power I changed the right engine mount and the shake has decreased significantly. Also the cam shaft exhaust sensor was a big reason . Gotta check for now for the other mounts and the idle control unit

Motoarele N42B20 sunt foarte fiabile atata vreme cat sunt ingrijite, ele necesita mai multa atentie si trebuie verificate mai des pentru a te asigura ca totul este in buna functionare.Dar un motor N42B20 care merge in toate mintile lui nu te va dezamagi vreodata ;)

Seven Tattoo mașina din video e 318i Fl ceea ce înseamnă ca e valvetronic. E buna pe acceleratie, dar extrem de proasta ca fiabilitate, in fiecare luna îmi cade câte ceva. A fost cea mai proasta achiziție posibila

Hi.The N42B20 valvetronic engine is very demanding of your attention.You gotta take care of it and maintain it properly, but it's a pretty badass engine.I can get like 5.5l/100km on highway and mixed it can maintain 7.5l/100km as long as you are gentle with her.And sure, it's never going to be as fast as a 6 inline cyl engine like the 325i but hell, you can have some fun with this thing aswell.And no, no problem whatsoever, changed only normal things like spark plugs, filters...etc :D

So what's the city consumption? Cornering ability? Is it stable and predictable?

In the city mine would go to up to something like 8.5-9l/100km, as for the cornering it still has capable suspensions for sports driving.The stability is fantastic, given the BMW's 50/50 weight distribution and many other factors.

You got the tyres right, and I live in a city near Bucharest...the thing is, my city is not that heavily clogged by cars, you still have to stop to some crosswalks, traffic lights or maybe other cars but still, it ain't such a big city.

It is 100% stock, but more important...back when I made this video my car wasn't putting out all the power because I had some mess under the hood...had to change the PCV hose, clean the MAF, change the spark plugs....etc...after taking care of it, she'd feel even faster, and it really was! I can guarantee this engine won't take longer than 9 seconds to make 0-100.

Acelasi consum am si eu afara 5-5,5% la 90km/h, in Bucuresti asta iarna nu mi-a sarit de 12%, de cand a inceput caldura am undeva la 8% tot in Bucuresti. Pentru 143cp si tonajul ei trage super bine, cel putin pana in 200km/h trage liniar, apoi pana in 230-240km/h urca greu.

Dracul asta nu fuge mai tare de 220km/h hai sa zicem maximul maximului 230km/h, cel putin eu nu am reusit sa fug mai tare de 221km/h.

Eu am atins 240 cu gumele de iarna, jante tabla pe 15, cu astea de vara pe 16 se aud ciudat anvelopele de la 200+. Fac toate schimburile de consumabile la 8000km, ulei doar Motul Long-life 01 si filtre MANN.

You didnt get 100 kph. Every cars meter is lying about 5kmh. At first try you really did 90kph. To get more real result try to hit 110 its when GPS showed 100 in my car. 318i does 100 in about 10 seconds.
