Regarding the comment about a trans taking more fluid than the amount that comes out.........When changing Auto trans fluid with this method, you are only replacing the fluid in the pan (the sump that he removes here). There is fluid in the Convertor, the Valve body and the clutch packs that is not drained when doing this. The only way to replace the remaining fluid is to do a "full flush". This involves connecting the trans cooler lines to a dedicated machine that has a large tank of trans fluid. With the engine running, run the trans through all the gears (as best as possible). This flows all the old fluid through the machine and be replaced with new fluid. This method is expensive and for an older Auto Trans. can be disastrous because it removes ALL the old debris (dislodged friction material and metal filings) that could be helping the clutch packs to get grip and maintain pressure.

I always use Royal purple, no problem except for the Chrysler transmission I went with redline C+ as it was recommended by many enthusiasts.

Please be aware that the final fill of ATF Fluid is supposed to be done with a running engine and transmission in ''P''. Recommended fluid temperature between 30 and 50 degrees celsius. Otherwise good tutorial.

Vazgen Petrosyan Great. It fixed limp mode that sometimes occured in cold mornings and fixed getting stuck on the 3rd gear when racing. I am very happy with it, wish i've done it earlier.
