Fcp euro has oem bushing btw. I went with poly myself about to do the job. Good video...

I checked Fcp euro, and all I found was the OEM side bushings, I couldn’t find the 2 on the diff cover.

I did my diff, driveshaft, and clutch all on jack stands...not too fun. Got pinned under the transmission even lol, had to hollar for my brother to come let the jack down cuz the trans rolled off onto me and was propped up by the jack pinning me under it and against the jack stand. I just couldn't move anywhere or reach the jack handle. I probably coulda wiggle out with enough time but...I was pressed for time haha. Lowered the jack and the trans rolled away from me so I could crawl out. Made me really with for a larger garage with a lift!

@seanmiller8701 glad you are ok, I feel you pain. That’s my everyday struggle, now I got a quick jack and I couldn’t be more happier. Should have bought one a long time ago.

Hey! I just completed this job on my 2002 BMW M3. I know this video is old so I may not get a response. I had purchased the exact same brand bushings you used. I would like to ask if your clunking issue is gone? Or is there a faint clunking that you can still hear? Also how are these holding up today?
@Jbpgarage2 ай бұрын
The clunking went away, and they are holding up just fine so far.

@@Jbpgarage thank you for responding! Looks like I need to investigate what’s going on with my car now, since my clunking went away for about a day, and then faintly came back 🥲

@@Threat2Rest Have you tried your subframe bushings? It's the only thing that makes sense to me since it pretty much holds the diff
@Threat2Rest19 күн бұрын
@@philmedor13 not a bad assumption at all. I had my car diagnosed again and they told me a slightly cracked guibo was their best guess as to why I was hearing a slight clunk whenever I accelerated. I unfortunately no longer own the car so I was never able to 100% address the diagnosis but that is what I was advised as my best next step. They also said all other bushings were in good condition.

Did you use a washer with the upgraded bolts?
@Jbpgarage2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think I used washers.

Thank you for the video. Just finish mine and it kicked my ass. Props to you for making it look easy

if you can live with the clunking Is it still something that you should do right away?
@Jbpgarage2 жыл бұрын
It depends on how bad your bushings are, and how I you driving the car. If you are just cruising around just to get around, I guess it can’t get any worse.

You recommand the bushings? You hold the original comfort of the car?
@Jbpgarage Жыл бұрын
It’s about the same, but noisy at times.

Did it fix the clunks when shifting and going on and off gas at low speeds? It’s been driving me crazy on mine and i want badly to fix it
