BMW E46 ZHP 3.46 LSD Differential & Turner Motorsports Aluminum Diff Bushings Install

I went with a Jim Blanton Performance Gearing differential and not the typical DiffsOnline unit. Extremely happy with my decision. Running Redline Lightweight Shockproof oil after the break=in Redline 80W-140 fill

Can I ask why you went with this unit instead of the diffsonline?

Bunch of reasons but the biggest one was that I had driven on one before and liked the characteristics

Thanks for the reply.would you mind elaborating for someone in the market.. it's a pricy investment so want to make sure. Don't know anyone near me with any installed.

@@nathanchan394 I went to Jim with exactly what I wanted different from his other diff I drove on and we figured out specifications from there. He was also much closer to me than DiffsOnline, didn’t require a core return, provided new output flanges and included the finned diff cover baked into his price. I saw no need to reach out to Dan and get his diff.

How do I get a 3.46 for a e36

probably need custom machining to get the pinion spacing right. there is a 3.45 from a z3 available though
