BMW E63 630i N52B30 Manual | Summer drive in 4K | OVERTAKE

A short film taking the BMW 6 series for an evening drive in the Summer.
The BMW E63 generation 6 Series represents the last time a naturally aspirated straight six engine was used in the model lineup, in the form of the N52 and the N53 engines. The E63 generation 6 series was also available with a manual transmission in all models including the V8 645i and 650i, however the M6 was only available with a manual transmission in the United States.

Excellent videography and editing 👏🏼 Had my silver E63 630i MSport 4 years now.. Have fitted Eibach springs for a subtle drop, VC7 20” alloys with MTEC spacers & black kidney grills.. It’s such a great balanced car, awesome cruiser, and reasonably quick using Sport mode 👌🏼😎

I now own a 325i and 330 touring after watching your 330i/N52 Touring video a while back. In fact I got rid of my E93 N53 Auto convertible to get the manual N52. Looking for one of these cheap to repair but they are even harder than the 330i Touring to find as a manual reasonably priced. took 6 months to find a manual 330 that was affordable. Problem now is one of the touring cars needs to go to fund another project and I spent most of the money upgrading the 325i, selling that would be giving it away, really enjoy these videos.

Wow, nice! The way the auto must have been pushed by the sales teams is a shame as there are hardly any manuals! I think this particular example is only a manual because of cost, it's fairly basic spec, but swapping cogs remains a big part of the enjoyment for me. I'm going to shoot another video where I get deeper into the nuances of the 6 series, as it remains a fairly quirky car. I also know the pain of needing to shift cars on, in order to try something else I have to sell something, even if I still like the car, otherwise I'm stuck with the same car forever! Thanks so much for watching and I hope you continue to enjoy your cars!

@@OvertakeFilms The E63/64 is in my opinion becoming such a beautiful curvaceous looking car that internally and externally is growing more beautiful as it become older... Design Classic I think. Early version before LCI upgrades are defo nicer! Cheers again for such a 'cool' vlog:-)

That's actually a tough one, a friend had a 635d a few years back and it was an incredibly impressive all-rounder, but it's hard for me not to go for that free-revving n/a petrol six. I guess it depends on which aspects are more important to you...

When filming please get rid of that cup holder contraption 🙂- it ruins those immaculate interior curvatures (did you know the interior was designed by a violin player - hence the very idiosyncratic curves - dash centre console, doors etc - no other "Bangle" (or any other) era BMW has them)? I simply couldn't say no to a very special individual E64 - N52 naturally. Just couldn't find a manual one. Life isn't perfect. 🙂
