bmw E90 E92 E93 M3 v8 spark plug change 2008 -12 s65 engine diy

This video is about bmws E92 E93 M3 spark plug change. Dealer east $550. I bought these spark plugs $65 save $485. Only took 2hrs.
YOU NEED:
Spark Plugs NGK LKR8AP (4471)
10mm 9mm Socket with extension
Torx screw driver (T25) to remove air intake box.
Coil Pack Removal Tool - (WIRE COAT HANGER)
Flat Head Screw Driver.

Hey thank you Sir for the video. Changed my plugs today + air and cabin filters. I couldn't change the one closest to the passenger, got coil off somewhat fine but my wrench just did not work in that tight space so have to figure that out. I bought the division m coil tool and it worked well, $40 total not cheap but still very aceptable as you can sell it easily for half the price. If one is used to work on cars this is pretty easy, just take your time.

So is there a special tool to unbolt the plug closest to firewall? I didn't see you unbolt closest to firewall so can't tell if regular ratchet extension gets in there.

Is it 18 ft-lb or 22 ft-lb torque for the spark plugs??

Hello, very good friend, the video. I want to ask you a technical question. a month ago I bought a M3 E92 manual transmission year 2009 it has a slight vibration when I accelerate it stopped in neutral between 1200 and 1500 RPM. It feels like the engine is out of balance, is that normal? do you know what the problem would be?

At 6:04 there's a warning sign that says high voltage. How do you prevent from getting shocked? Do you disconnect the battery while changing the spark plugs

If the engine's not running there's no current going through the coils, and I'd highly recommend that you change your spark plugs with the engine off.

That and don't put the spark plug in the socket and then let that and the extension slide down and bottom out like you did on the first spark plug. Good way to damage the electrode.

never use NGK, OEM are better, plus you should consider using a torque wrench for the future.

From my understanding the OEM are BWW branded NGK, mine looked identical.

Richard Kaleta I am in the US but I'm German, Bosch seems to be logical agree but every search I did incl. in Germany list NGK as the original supplier for the M3 V8, the other E90/92/93 use Bosch, so I guess I have to believe that unless you have a better source?

Wow you are correct sir! I checked myself, and i have just bought a e92 m3 and in fact it is NGK (which i hate), i have had e46 328i, 330i, m3, 335i e92 and all have used Bosch... Sorry

I prefer Bosch as it states the NM, rather than ngk using degree turn.
