Just done it today the showed procedure on my e90. Brand new fresh fluid in all the system and pedal solid like a rock. Thank you and greetings from Italy.

I didn't do the pre-bleed but ran the rework from RR, RL, FL to FR. Worked like a champ. Thanks for the video

Couple of tips, you can use a hand held vacuum pump to empty the master reservoir before pushing pistons back into calipers, they are about $25 from your favourite online shopping place, or anything like a decent sized syringe will work. This will save the mess. The vacuum pumps can also be used on the bleed screws at the calipers, meaning you can bleed the brakes on your own quite easily. Second tip, always start with the caliper furthest away from the master cylinder, and work your way to the closest when manually bleeding (not using INPA/ISTA). This makes it quicker to get new fluid through the system. I believe the ABS pump itself has a small reservoir inside, that's why when it is activated with INPA/ISTA, there will still be some old fluid that needs flushed from the system.

I follow the routine of caliper furthest from the master to bleed since it should be the longest line which is the school of thought of why you don't need to do a prebleed, so on right-hand drive you would do, rear left, rear right, front left, front right. When I did this on my car without the pre-bleed it ran clear using INPA without pre-bleed and brakes have been good for the last year.

Thanks for posting this, it really helped me out. Showed me what to do so I could still do it when INPA switched to German for the DSC page!

Very curious about the Pre-Bleed procedure. It doesn't appear to run the pump in the video, so does it do anything really? Seems like the pre-bleed process is just press and release the brake until the fluid becomes clear, why do I need INPA for that? Or, am I missing something?

Nice video guys. And about the connection problems to the Windows laptop. I discovered the usb port settings are reset to default, every time there has been a Windows version update. So lately updated to the v 21H1 version, and had to change the latency again to 1 ms. Dutch regards, Nico.
@ZeroTo60Tube3 жыл бұрын
It was the latency. What caused me pain was sometimes it would read some modules. So i thought it was a problem with my car.

Where are you jacking it up? Meaning the jacking points you are using.

Only need to pre-bleed if you've introduced air replacing a component first.

Flushed my brakes a month ago but didn’t use my foxwell . I believe it is suppose to be able to do it similar to INPA. I guess I will find out!

Does this save any time / bleed the brakes more effectively?

How is it not sucking in tons of air when you lift the pedal while the bleeder valve is open?

ISTA D can be used to flush the brake lines & ABS. This is the software used at the dealer.
@ZeroTo60Tube3 жыл бұрын
You do need a pressure bleeder for ista d, i believe.

@@ZeroTo60Tube Yes this is much more efficient with INPA

I’ve done it with a typical bleed bottle you can buy on Amazon. I just run the tube down to the bottom of the bottle & put in 8oz of brake fluid. Worked great.

As I learnt the hard way with this INPA process, BLEED ALL WHEELS FIRST then RESET THE INDICATOR. I foolishly reset the indicator after bleeding one wheel and the process wouldn't work anymore. The error was something along the lines of "ECU conditions not correct". I had to put the laptop away and resort to the old fashioned way of bleeding.
@MKRN982 жыл бұрын
So wait, if I don't have any brake lights on my dash or indication of brake work required I can't use INPA to bleed my brakes? Well, I'll resort to the old fashioned way as well
@skatepark023 жыл бұрын
I have bled my brakes every way possible. Pressure bleed, manual bleed, INPA etc, and done a couple of full fluid flushes. I’ve got Hel braided lines and I rebuilt all the callipers (like new) with new seals and yet they still feel spongy with no bite. I’m running a fresh set of EBC yellow stuff. My last resort is going to be new discs.

Brake booster or brake vacuum lines leaking
@Riley15243 жыл бұрын
You don't have to use inpa or any other computer software to accomplish any of this. Doing it the old fashioned was works just fine. Just need to reset the let, which can be done manually from the stock if you know how

What you mean by reset the let?

I once somehow lost my driver settings on my K+DCAN cable and it had longer latency than e90/e60 can withstand. It was real pain in the but to figure out, because I never thought they would somehow reset themselves

You ever had any AC issues with your car. I have the same car, same age/miles and my ac keeps blowing hot, loses charge after 7-10 days, even after a new condenser. Any thoughts on the DIY AC recharge Seleants?
@KeithJKeyz3 жыл бұрын
Don't. Do. It. Find the leak and fix it properly. Use a refrigerant with dye in it and use a UV light to check for where the leak is. Good luck 👍🏾
@chrisrobles20123 жыл бұрын
If you vacuum it down, you will find the leak because wherever it is will get cold. Check the o-rings at connections or if you have had rock chips on the condenser. If you put in stop leak then it will clog the system especially the expansion valve.

No, ista you need a presurised brake bleeder to put on the master cylinder, to push the fluid through.

Is it normal for the ABS/brake lights to come on when bleeding the brakes with INPA? The lights go out shortly after the bleeding finishes. I just replaced my DSC from 5DF0 and 5DF1 - stuck motor brushes. Hopefully I don't need to do this all over again and replace/recode the module...
@ZeroTo60Tube Жыл бұрын
I think that’s normal. It resets when the wheel speed sensor have done a few rotations as well.
