There are two styles of ECS coilovers; fixed damping and 32 way adjustable damping. Maybe do damping adjustments to improve the ride quality.

I was referred to your video from a F10 Facebook group when I was asking about these coilovers. What was your stock suspension? Was it the M-Sport or the standard?

I appreciate you checking it out! Unfortunately I sold the car a couple months back, but all the way up until I sold it, I enjoyed those coilovers very much, they checked off all of the boxes for what I wanted budget coilovers to be/do I didn’t have any issues during my ownership of them on the car, and as far as setting go, the dampening was set up right in the middle, so I figured out how many clicks from full stuff to full soft, and just set it as close to the middle as I could get it, that and I had them set to have the fenders sitting about even with the tops of my tires (I was on 20” wheels), hope that helps!

Appreciate it Anthony! You really did resolve my question to my car. I got a f10 535i recently and from e90 328i stock m3 arms and m sport shocks, the handling was so much unsatisfied. I’ve been considering to go with m sports shocks again with stock arms but I am confident that I have to go with coilovers even though I am looking for a ride quality. The floaty boat feel isn’t my thing and wasn’t expecting it when I made a decision to get the f10 from e90. Thanks!!!

Have you tried adjusting damping to see if that helps? What is your current damping set at?

Yea I had it set up pretty much right in the middle between full stiff and full soft

2015 f10 BMW EDC with H&R VTF coilover coil and Eibach sway bars gave mine a different feel, got 20×10 and 19.5 going on dont know what tire i want yet but im on the East so that gotta wait for now.

Great review and install video. Am considering getting same for my F10. Can i ask you two questions, One, are you using run flat tires? Two, is your low ride height because it comes preset from factory (or did you adjust it?) I'm trying to get a better ride by using non run flats and slightly higher ride height. Thanks!

I am not on run flat tires currently, and the height is from the new coils I’m on, the stock height is pretty tall so I wanted to close the gap a bit but maintain a good height for driving around without worrying too much

I have a 550i with the Dynamic Handling Package and not sure what my options are for lowering the car while keeping the balance of comfort in comfort+ to the ride in sport+

I think if you have the dynamic suspension, you’re probably going to either be stuck purchasing expensive suspension to maintain the dynamic aspect, or just choose to loose the dynamic part of the suspension, but there’s definitely gotta be options out there!

So far so good! I have a fun video coming out within the next week or two where I take the f10 out for some spirited driving for that exact reason, so see how the coils feels when they’re actually put to use, should be a good little review!

You could have made this video much shorter and more effective at delivering ideas. Mostly it was looping blabbery. The short you made out of it should have been the whole original video. Otherwise mostly waste of time.

Not 100% sure, just whatever ECS has them spec’d at out of the box, I only ever changed the dampening while I had them

These coilovers are cheap Godspeed rebrand suspension they are horrible I had them for 2 weeks and had to send them back stop steering people wrong they are terrible if you want good handling and comfort get the Bilstien b12 kit.

@@bimmerlife5452 If you have stock sway bars it will be too soft you need the eibach or the H&R sway bars. The H&R sways are very stiff wouldn't suggest them but paired with the b12 kit its magic.
