Francesco, thank you for sharing your information with us. This is another helpful video. I respectfully suggest that you use jack stands when working under your car. The hydraulics in the floor jack can fail, which would injure you badly or possibly kill you. Please be safe!

Yes but you risking the CR pump running on air.

Yes you can , I have done it for 3 times without the ISTA , make sure you clamp end of the hose , even if you forgot about that it's fine the car will start a bit slower . What you can do ... Put ignition on for couple of times and then start the car and enjoy your ride!

Some scan tools also have a 3min low pressure pump run programme prior to start to remove any air I recommend you get one of these for fault codes and battery replacement too

Good afternoon. I carried out the fuel filter change on an F11 520d without realising that there was procedure for bleeding... I did 10 ignition cycles and tried to start, nothing. Looking online and saw all the info about the bleed procedure. The correct bleed procedure has now been carried out twice but the car still won't start. The first time the bleed was carried out you could hear the air and fuel being purged through. No air sounds on the second run. Any info or advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I replace it last year, run ista procedure for remove air during procedure I hear pump and stream into filter, but car start from 3rd attempt. On next day same 3rd attempt for start. But after I dont have any problems. Why bleeding didnt remove air? Maybe High pressure pump issue?

Without ISTA, I try to start engine. after no push the brake and start key on & off 4~5 times. There's no problem driving my car. I upload my youtube this processing. thks^^

Please, do not try to start the engine without performing a bleeding procedure. This can cause high pressure fuel pump damage.
