If you do another one. Use a heat gun to warm up the pieces that are under the fog lights. Use a metal tube or a 7/8-1" deep well socket on an extension to shape/mold the plastic to the shape of the bumper.

ive been through 3 of them on my f10.. gave up on having one..

You know, I've heard the same from other F10 owners. I'll give it one more shot. If not, then oh well!

how fast were you going when they flew off? Was it one piece and howmany screws did you use to install the splitter?

I was going more or less 70 mph, and I used multiple screws - I believe 9 or 11 screws all holding it in. What I think happened is a rock flew into the splitter and tore it off the center, causing it to slap the bumper up and down on the highway. And yes, it was one piece on the bottom with the two bumper covers to secure it onto the bottom of the bumper.

It looks like a cheap ass front splitter It’s hollow? You should bought a high quality one with the same materials as the car bumper

Well, yeah. It was $60, I mentioned it was cheap and didn't mind if it broke. In fact, I expected it to break. Maybe in the future I'll invest in a high quality splitter. I plan on putting one on again, I loved how it looked for the 20 minutes I had it.

Should have used thin nuts and bolts in the middle with washers inside the bumper for strength as it looks to me like the centre has threaded the bumper. Also those screws all look way too long.

I'd have to agree - these were the screws provided to me with the kit. I tried attaching it best I could, and I guess it just wasn't enough. I'll make sure next time it'll stay on for good.

Thanks for your comment, Freddy. I appreciate you trying to help, but next time, don't call me boy. I've installed my fair share of splitters on multiple of my cars. This isn't my first. I love how we all have our own way of doing things, so there's no need to tell me my way is "wrong;" it's just different than how you'd do it.
