also, how long would you say the install took
@MotoRevs2 күн бұрын
It took me about 7-8 hours. This is only due to the fact that you have to work from underneath the car and from on top as well. It's a very in-depth, tedious process, and you must be rather skilled and knowledgeable. It's a hard install, but it's totally worth it. Tight spaces and removal of auxiliary parts is necessary sometimes. But I'd say it's worth it! At the end of the day when you're driving around and you feel and hear the difference, you forget you even installed it.

i have a 2014 bmw x3 xdrive35i and wanna get cold air intake and downpipe. What tune would I have to get if I did that?
@MotoRevs2 күн бұрын
I can't say for sure, but as I've heard you don't need a tune, but you won't get the most out of your modifications without one. You'll also likely have a check engine light from the downpipe (assuming you go catless or similar). The best thing to do would be to get a tune, so you can take advantage of your mods and get the most power out of them, and remove any lights or codes your car may throw due to your mods.
@aaronbonsu86352 күн бұрын
@@MotoRevs I have a n55 engine I see some mhd tunes that range from 66-555$ which would be best for downpipe and air intake?
@MotoRevs2 күн бұрын
Depends on what you want and have. You could buy individual stages, or, like I have, you could get the super license, with every stage, every option, and every feature. Granted, it is the most expensive, but you get what you pay for. Every single feature and option, and you can fine-tune it to your car and mods. That's what I'd recommend, especially if you plan on continuing to mod your car. If you buy one single stage, you don't get the multi-map, or all the options and features. If you mod your car more, or remove some mods, you may not be able to edit it to suit your car. H9wever, to get you up and running, and get rid of your CEL for your downpipe, id recommend looking into a stage 1 tuje. If your car has the required aupporting mods, maybe even stage 2 or stage 2+ That's just my 2 cents!

What happens when its raining?

Rain doesn't affect this intake, even in lots of rain, any damage is very unlikely, even with such a high-flow intake like this BimmerHaus one.

Just wondering… do you need to replace the drain bolt every time?

No! Rain will not affect this, as per Dan from BimmerHaus, and no, you don't necessarily need a tune, but, of course, to get the most out of it and take advantage of it, a tune would definitely be beneficial; but not necessary.

@MotoRevs9 күн бұрын
With all honesty, I understand. I'm conscious of the fact that it is rather pricey, but, no other intake gets you this kind of sound, performance, or uniqueness. That's just my take, and without bias, by the way. I was offered multiple sponsorships for intakes for my 535i, but I went with BimmerHaus because of how unique and ground-breaking it is.

So if you connect to the MMI system via bluetooth, does that mean it disconnects from the BMW bluetooth to the car? So if calls come in what happens?
@MotoRevs9 күн бұрын
If im not mistaken, most phones can connect to more than one device via Bluetooth - this is how I do it: I connect to the car's iDrive for calls, and connect to the MMI PRO for audio. When I get a call, it goes through the car, but shows up on the MMI. It works flawlessly. Another option is that you could connect to the MMI for calls and audio, and adjust the microphone and gain settings according to your device and preferences. In any case, however you decide, it will integrate into your car and life flawlessly.

@@MotoRevs HOW CANS YOU SAY THAT TO YOUR DEER HOMEIE!! 😭😭😭😭😭
@johnshannon921 күн бұрын
Dood! You should not remove the master cylinder fill cap. You can compress your brake pistons worth no more effort while the cap is in place. Just website that you have room in the master cylinder for the fluid to be compressed pushed back up into said master cylinder. Brake fluid attracts moisture from the air, and that moisture will reduce the boiling point of the fluid, which means that the fluid can lose its ability to compress as moisture boils in the system. Moisture compromised fluid also has a much reduced ability to prevent corrosion within the brake system, as well. It is prudent to only remove the master cylinder cap if you are adding fluid, or performing a brake bleed or a complete fluid change.

My 535i currently has around 85,000 miles; I'm not sure, I don't believe I'm qualified to tell you that. As I've seen, a lot of N55s can take tuning up to 150k miles, but, like I said, I can't say for sure if you should or shouldn't.

People say catless will cause a bad smell. In your opinion, is it really that bad or can anyone who isn’t sensitive to smell tolerate it.
@MotoRevs23 күн бұрын
It really doesn't bother me. You can't smell it inside, you can't smell it while driving, and you can't even smell it most of the time with the windows down while idling. The only time you can smell it is if you go to the rear of the car while it idles or revs. Other than that, you literally wouldn't know it's catless. It's different for every car, but for the most part, this car really doesn't have a smell at all.
