It also says to fasten seatbelts right away. It doesn't do that the first time you start the engine it does when you start driving. If you stop the engine and shortly start it again it reminds to fasten seatbelts before you start driving

I read that the glowplugs start heating up as soon as u open the door. So the 5 seconds that it takes u to get seated and push the button/insert key is why it starts up so smoothly.

Thats not true. This engine uses ceramic bosch glow plugs they heat up in maximum of 2 seconds after pressing the start button on the dash.

My 21011 starts in -35 first try. It's equipped with LPG fuel system and i don't even bother running it on benzin (or gas). LPG costs something like 50c Euro per liter and the car consumes somewhere between 8L and 12L per 100km. Sturdy Russian machine! Everybody is complaining about their heaters starting to work after 20-25 minutes and i'm driving with just a T-shirt on after just 5.

You can see on my channel how my 1998 Volvo V70 2.5 TDI R5 was starting up in -10C :) That was fun! not ;) It always did it though even when was a freakin' cold outside like -20C and 2 glow plugs was probably already dead. One condition! a good and strong battery needed.

Eviltech Fair enough, I see what you're saying but of all the cars that my family has owned and that I have owned, I have never seen a car not start in the deep of winter (-25c and below).

tautisg1 well winters in here are pretty warm, but sometimes temperatures fall crazy low like -35 Celsius... The fuel sold in our gas stations is being diluted with low grade fuels and usually that's the problem. -5 or -10 is ok, but lower causes some major problems. Also there are different oils for different climates. Also the batteries might have slight differences like more plates or even an extra cell.

It is, but BMW have engine heaters. As soon as it turns on the ignition and it is too cold, then the engine heats up itself. In this case, he only activated the ignition, waited 5-10 minutes and then started the engine! There is nothing more and it's the first engine start in the morning!

У меня круглый год на климате 20) Масло BMW Original LL04 0w40. ОЖ нагревается, причем даже на холостом ходу до 72-75 градусов за 10-12 минут. Масло при таких низких температурах - тоже в районе 80.

ez383 Вот кстати масло у вас вроде как хреновое, лл01 лучше, я не утрерждаю, но об этом лучше тут прочитать bmwservice.livejournal.com. Да, если нагревается до 75 да еще и на холостом, значит стоит оч мощный тен или вебаста... Это можно по расходу л/ч определить, мкм, если можно его мониторить... Но все же очень круто, я бы даже сказал что слишком))) У меня форд, там PSA мотор 2.0, есть тен в ож, но он такое ощущение что работает только до 30+ и потом отключается, и расход л/ч становится минимальным 0.6л. При таком раскладе после отключения тена температура растет на холостых ООочень медленно... В печке есть фен, но это не относится к мотору и ож.

По маслу - я этот лайвжурнал читал вдоль и поперек) с маслом все нормально, тем более что срок замены у меня всех расходников - 7500 км, мне чаще менять - не жалко. Расход на таких температурах - 0,5-0,6 литра в час. Тены стоят, фильтр подогревается, фен имеется.

+ez383 По расходу 0.5-0.6 не понял, он в процессе прогрева до какой-то (75 к примеру) температуры должен быть выше, с окончанием прогрева уменьшится, просто это может не учитывать коме, хотя то было бы странно и ге правильно. У меня в момент работы тенов, в стадии прогрева, расход около литра, потом после отключения тенов, падает на минимум 0.6.... Все логично, как бы... А у бмв всегда 0.6?

Развод!!! Говорю, как специалист автомеханик) За бортом возможно и -32, но двигатель и топливные магистрали были прогреты. С холодный двигателем на таком морозе такой быстрый запуск невозможен.

kolyanon машина заводится с кнопки. Контрольная лампочка свечей накаливания нужна только для того что бы водитель знал когда можно крутить стартер. Если все автоматом, зачем показывать контрольную лампочку. Вижу тазоводы увидели машину и сказали, не, это нереально. Я дизель заводил в -30 без проблем, без танцев со свечами по несколько раз. Крутил так же как и всегда, не дольше. Правда когда морозы ниже 20 я лью антигель. К чему эти видео, минус 20, -30, если при нормальной эксплуатации дизеля, это нормальная температура для него. Минус 50, это интересно.

Женя яяя Таз с дизелем????? Никогда не видел. Мерседес, WV, Рено. Все показывают, когда греют свечи. Рено стартует с кнопки. Прогрев свечей показывает. Как механик и физик говорю, без свечей не завести. Так как дизель работает потому, что при быстром сжатии, по законам термодинамики, повышается температура в камере сгорания. Настолько, что при впрыске топлива оно вспыхивает. При холодном двигателе энергия от сжатия уходит не на разогрев воздуха в камере сгорания, а на разогрев металла двигателя (поршень, стенки камеры сгорания) и теплоты на поджог топлива не хватает. Для этого и применяются на дизелях свечи накаливания.
