Good stuff guys, a remapped 320d would run 7's easily! ZF8 seems to have a an advantage over ZF6, not surprisingly. Speaking of ZF6, I think my 335i's ZF6 shifts from 1st to 2nd gear are quite jerky and slow. What sort of operation you would recommend for trying to make the shift a bit quicker and smoother? Oil change, Xhp and solenoid change should be enough?

If you can do the work yourself, i'd start with oil and seal change ( bridge seal and 4 tubes), this will be a lot cheaper than doing the solenoids. If you still have the issue after that, then it will be on to solenoids. I always do adaptation resets when change hardware with in the transmission (actually sometimes even when i don't change hardware and still fixed issues). XHP have recently come out and said you should never reset adaptations. My take is, if you reset adaptations and the transmission can not re-learn by following the correct learning procedure, you have significant hardware problems regardless. The reason they shy away from the reset, is a warn transmission may still function if it adaptations are so far out of normal.

To be exact, the F30 LCI B047 engine is supposed to be 140 kW and 400 Nm Torque! The one you are driving probably is pre-facelift I am guessing...

Hey guys good Review! You guys should have tried putting the transmission into sport mode (flicking it to the right), the transmission acts a lot differently.

You have to have the revs right up before launch, not like you are doing.

Depends on the tq limiting. This car in stock form would pull power if you hit too higher torque value at set rpm/road speed. Appreciate your advice. But there is a lot more that goes in to it than you are aware of.

I guess your car engine is from the N series ( N47 perhaps) whereas my 320d Msport of 2017 does 0 to 60 miles in around 7:20 or sometimes less even.

It's only a genuine 5.9L/100k if you confirm at the pump. It's an estimation based on the MAF, and let's just say their calibration is often a bit liberal

It is possible. But the cheapest way to do it would probably be with an aftermarket carplay/android auto box.

BWW Reliability is a touch one and whether one is or not normally comes down to who you speak to. With any late model BMW maintenance is key, if you look after them they do well. If you neglect then they turn in to a bag of problems.
