They're not twin turbo. They are twin scroll turbo which means its one turbo run through two exhaust pipes.

Then think what would happend if all 4 cylinders where charging the turbo! Damn that would be a fast car! *Lol* Just kidding. Twin scroll (Bmw says twin turbo) means the exhaustmanifold is separated into two ports into the turbo. The ignition is 1342 so number one and four is connected with the same channel to the turbo exhaust manifold, and number three and two. This means there will be less lag and more efficiancy. Smaller pulses but better exhaust flow. Old news, Volvo have had this for 15 years, Bmw? Not so long-:)

Jag har en F31 som är snäppet kvickare än denna, helt original. Väldigt lätta 20" fälgar och däck samt M Performance ljuddämpare I bak är enda moddarna. Väl inkörd och omskött så den har "öppnat upp sig" väldigt fint, antalet hästar lär ligga en bit over dessa 245 angivna hästar. BMW är kända för att ange lägre än vad det visar sig finnas I verkligheten. Hursom, jag har hållit jämna steg med både 335or och en M235:a upp till 190-200. Du kan inte bara titta på antalet hästar (på papper dessutom) och förvänta dig ett resultat. 100 kg gör mycket, men andra faktorer kan spela in. Sen undrar jag hur du har mätt din tid/hastighet till 200, I fallet med videon här ovan så ska du veta att när mätaren star på 200 km/h så är hastigheten snarare runt 194...

Till 99% så hänger effektmax och vikt ihop med hur snabb acceleration ett fordon har. Sedan finns självklart andra faktorer som grepp och luftmotstånd, men till 200 så brukar det inte spela en avgörande roll om det inte skiljer sig väldigt mycket åt. Min T4 var hopplös till 100 pga. "etthjulsdriften", 6,0s fick jag till som bäst. Jag mätte mina tider med Gtech, GPS och med pc ur ECU'n och det stämde överens väldigt väl. När det gäller spontantace på gata mellan olika bilar så kan man ibland uppfatta det som väldigt jämnt och ibland blir man förvånad. Jag åkte jämnsides med en M5 V10 från 80 till strax över 200 och fick tummen upp av en glad BMW-ägare som nog vart lika förvånad som mig. Jag tvivlar inte en sekund på att du åkt jämnt med 335'or. Men vid en jämnförelese på lika villkor mätt med utrustning så tror jag dock att den starkare 335'an har ett litet övertag.

I get 17km per litre on 320d and its performance difference with 328i is just over one sec and 328i gets around 10km per litre,the mpg difference viz a viz performance 320d wins anytime not forgetting the effortless and quiet acceleration in 320d

Mean it's 2.0 4 cylinders diesel...it's not as refined as petrol. It's not always about mpg. I gave up diesel for petrol. I would only consider 3l diesels on big cars like 7 series. Otherwise, just petrol.

Der Anzug in dem Wagen ist gut wobei ich einen 328xi gefahren bin. Allerdings hat man im Stand an der Ampel Vibrationen die man von 6 Zylinder nicht kennt und der Motor an sich klingt wie ein Diesel :D aber ansonsten soll es ein stabiler Motor sein was ich so lesen konnte.

Der alte 3l hat keine Chance. Ich hatte den alten 6zyl. mit 256 PS. Jetzt hab ich den 328i. Kein Vergleich was die Leistung betrifft, Aber leider auch kein Vergleich im Bezug auf den Sound/Laufruhe.

Digi20 Der Verbrauch ist relativ zu bewerten. Wenn man es nicht eilig hat und trotzdem zügig fährt , kann man den Verbrauch des 2,0 E90 mit 150 PS als Referenz nehmen. Wenn man ordentlich ausfährt (Sport modus) dann muss man auch schnell wieder nachtanken. Aber im Vergleich zum 3l 6 zyl. ist es ein Riesen Sprung. Ca. 2 Liter.

Twinscroll single turbo, like Kavinda said. Nowadays, not even 335i are twin turbo, thry are also single turbo. Only twin turbo petrol versions are the ///M variants. It is not the same "Twin Turbo" than "Twin Power Turbo". The latter is what can be read in the engine cover. I know it leads many people to confusion, but that means *one* turbo of type twin scroll.

It is possible that really in a rolling road could be giving something more tha 245 bhp, let's say 255 bhp. But still, it seems fast enough to not be begging for a 335i on daily driving (except meybe for sound).

It's mainly due to the fact that this 4 cylinder produces almost as much torque as the inline 6 in the 335i. Being slightly lighter too, its almost as fast at low speeds, but when they start going in higher ranges of speeds, the 335i crushes the 328i.

+Klayton Almeida I know it is an option on my 328i, it is called "sport transmission" and if you put the gear changer to the left it goes into sport mode. It shifts alot faster and more violently (which I like). The rocker switch that has ECO PRO, sport, and sport + just change the steering, throttle response, and suspension.

analanalyst For the suspension and the steering you use the rocker switch on the center console. Now it is an option to have for like $750.I think you can can manual shift without it, but it adds in paddle shifters and a sport mode for the tranny.

ich hab einen Durchschnittsverbrauch ca. 9,2 l/100km, fahr weder sonderlich sparsam, noch ständig sportlich. Bin vorher den e90 325i gefahren, der f30 ist im Vergleich spürbar schneller, liegt sicher auch an der 8-Gang-Sportautomatik.

Ich hatte mal einen von Sixt, der hat locker 12 Liter geschluckt.

12 liter ist sehr hoch. bei normaler fahrt sollte er nicht mehr als 9 liter schlucken. angegeben ist er ja mit 6.3 liter. doppelte wär schon heftig. wo ist dann die fortschritt. dann doch lieber diesel holen
