@NoClutchGarage I was having codes 190F08 and 191C02. I replaced do you leak down module. And also the check valve on top of the engine. The issue that I am still having is the car is swinging widely up and down ARF going from lean to rich and richto lean. I have not had any other codes. Do you have any advice on what I should look into next. I am stumped.

I think there is a natural temptation for a lot of DIY utoobers to omit the fussing and fiddling -- especially with those tiny connector release tabs -- because it's somehow thought to be boring. It isn't. So thank you for that. Also, back in the day, the "check engine light" meant only that. Now with OBDII the thing lights up for stuff like this. Most folks now refer to the tiny engine symbol as a "malfunction indicator lamp" or "MIL." Just more accurate than the old term.

Would you recommend the BMW F30 340i in line or long road reliability because I | Toyota owner I want to change to a BMW F30 3401. Is it as reliable as a Toyota or not? This means that it can withstand daily driving without turbo, electrical, or transmission malfunctions. What is your advice regarding the reliability of the car? Because my hobby is that I researched and they said that Lexus is for permanent purchase and BMW is for rent, and many complained and said that it cannot handle travel or long distances, and if it drives more than 200,000 miles, it will die. My car was giving me the same code, couldn’t pass the emissions inspection…watched your vid but thought I’d replace the fuel cap first…got an oem cap from Fcp euro, installed the new cap, check engine light gone, passed inspection…so the leak the code is talking about could be this pump, but could also be your gas cap…just an fyi…

It has to do with the same system though. The DMTL pump clears fuel fumes in the gas tank, so if a “leak” is detected it could be from the cap for sure but I don’t find that to be the usual suspect and back then, I will admit, I didn’t know how this system worked completely.

I threw a code 194604. I assumed it was time to change the Leak Detection Module. Ended up finding chewed up wires caused by a chipmunk. I cannot for the life of me find the part number for the plug/wires/harness that connects to the Module. Any help? 2017 BMW 340i xdrive

I will always suggest you have jack stands for safety reasons. Though the risk of your jack failing is low, you may do otherwise at your own risk but I highly discourage it.

can you experience power loss with this error code? I had this same exact code but I cleared it around 2-3 weeks ago refilled my tank 3 times after and no codes and its not over burning fuel but I am experiencing power loss being capped at 380-450 hp meanwhile i pusb 480+ while on mhd stage 2 and xhp stage 2. Buddy of mine says it could he heat soak this is my first time owning a bmw so im not so sure where to go

Bro does 340i reliable? Do you know some who has over 150tkm ? I want to buy one and use it as daily and i drive Dynamically. I love do 0-100 and when going on highway 100-200... and traveling at 200 constant would this car be able to handle ?

Looking into changing mines out as well due to the fact that i don’t have a cel but if i use my scan tool it shows a permanent code for a very small leak. Just called my dealer and was told that the part is $68 but they updated one of the hoses that connects to it so would need to buy that new hose as well an that’s another $122 smh. Would you recommend just going aftermarket or just upgrading the pump and hose?

Unfortunately it didn’t work for me , I changed that pump and check engine still there , my code is 194602 says short circuit to ground (NVLD) , I found out that it’s basically the wire connected to the pump which has no positive but I don’t know where to look for the short , all fuses are good in the trunk..

BMW recommends replacing the dust filter too. Remove the wheel and wheel liner. p/n 16137438487 BMW might do the work for free, since they added a 120k extended warranty for these NVLD parts.
