I just discovered this video. I had the same issue in my b48 but the bolts broken and the intake cam snapped. 1 year on, how it the car running ? Did you buy a donor head and swap in the cam ledges & cams only? Did you have the ledges machined to your hear or directly put them on ? I'm very interested because I've been told to change the full head and not just the ledges because they're supposedly machined to the head itself.

What you have heard is correct. The proper way to fix it is to swap the head or find a set of cam ledges somewhere and have them line honed to your head

The cap is more higher than original one, it makes it to close to the engine plastic part. Also please draw an attention on the vibration of the aluminum cap, it’s bigger than original.

Close to the engine plastic? No. There's plenty of clearance, it may be slightly closer to the manifold but not much I've never had a vibration issue with these.

I mean... Thats just turbo on stock everything else? If you had a lpfp, port and s58 injectors it would be way higher. I was getting 580ish whp on 93. 700 on e.

S58 injectors are not compatible with Gen 1 B58. Also this was filmed 3 years ago on a pretty basic car setup, if I had 20k more money into the car I'd make 1000whp, your point is moot.

N55 and B58 implementation of this system is slightly different but the line sizes are essentially the same. So to answer your question yes the block offs will work but the rest of the system may need adjustment. I have a link in the video drscription for the product!

Ok you can get fully Carbon ones but they don't stay on well and are twice as expensive. You don't have to get these if you don't want but at least you know how to install them now!

That is a shit intake kit, covers so much of the collers in the rad pack, could of been done with ducting allowing flow to pre-existing rads with your original air box, and when you talk about rain a heavy/ medium rain event will destroy that engine. Water doesn't compress surface area of the filter in direct weather in a rain event will make a good video of how to kill an engine

You clearly don’t understand physics enough to know that by the time the little amount of water enters the combustion chamber all of that will be transformed into steam because it is not enough volume at all entering the filter if any at all. Furthermore, this is an oiled filter, which means that the water will be repelled naturally anyway. The surface tension of water comes into play here. I have been running this intake with no issues for the past 2 years in sunny weather and in storms with no issue. There would need to be liters of water entering at once to cause any sort of damage, just think of this: the M4 GTS uses water to create more power when sprayed into the intake manifold.

My car was giving me the same code, couldn’t pass the emissions inspection…watched your vid but thought I’d replace the fuel cap first…got an oem cap from Fcp euro, installed the new cap, check engine light gone, passed inspection…so the leak the code is talking about could be this pump, but could also be your gas cap…just an fyi…

It has to do with the same system though. The DMTL pump clears fuel fumes in the gas tank, so if a “leak” is detected it could be from the cap for sure but I don’t find that to be the usual suspect and back then, I will admit, I didn’t know how this system worked completely.
