You clearly don’t understand physics enough to know that by the time the little amount of water enters the combustion chamber all of that will be transformed into steam because it is not enough volume at all entering the filter if any at all. Furthermore, this is an oiled filter, which means that the water will be repelled naturally anyway. The surface tension of water comes into play here. I have been running this intake with no issues for the past 2 years in sunny weather and in storms with no issue. There would need to be liters of water entering at once to cause any sort of damage, just think of this: the M4 GTS uses water to create more power when sprayed into the intake manifold.

It has to do with the same system though. The DMTL pump clears fuel fumes in the gas tank, so if a “leak” is detected it could be from the cap for sure but I don’t find that to be the usual suspect and back then, I will admit, I didn’t know how this system worked completely.

​@fernandez2990 just a downpipe and a tune and you're good, you can also get other upgrades outside of that to get more power but that just depends on your budget and goals.

@@chrzaszczuhg this intake does have a heat shield and cover like OEM, so I suppose it’ll be better air temp going in, if it were an exposed filter then most def it’ll just be hot and not sound this way

You don’t have to but I typically do an oil change at the same time I’m swapping a turbo.

You meant to say the Valve Cover. Yeah so this kit effectively forces you to delete that system. There are a few ways you can go about it. 1. You can delete the line altogether and via custom tune you can have the code that will trigger when the heater attached at the end of that hose is unplugged removed, and that will be the end of that. Then you will need to plug the intake pipe where the hose used to plug into with a heavy duty rubber cap and a clamp. 2. You can remove the hose only and leave that end piece (heater) plugged in and supported somehow (I have done this temporarily, so I know it works) and then cap your intake pipe with a rubber cap and clamp. In either case you either need to plug that inlet or get another inlet that deletes that hole altogether. At the moment I have deleted the system altogether and I don’t have to bother with any of it.

@@NoClutchGarage thank you , I just realised the kit has a silicon plug to cap the oem hose, held in by vacuum but feels a bit loose. I think I’ll remove the hose and cap it somehow down at the turbo intake pipe

Great question. It essentially helps assist with additional fueling. Your injectors have a certain limit for the amount of fuel that they can spray into the combustion chamber, and adding PI effectively increases that limit by introducing 6 more injectors which will spray in more fuel. When you do that then you can increase your potential power output via tuning.
