I think I read in the app that this procedure is not necessary for simple brake fluid change or bleeding, only if air gets in ABS pump itself.

My understanding is, unless you carry out this operation, "old" brake fluid will remain trapped within the ABS pump. Running the pump therefore ensures that any old brake fluid is purged from the ABS pump and subsequently bled out through the front and rear callipers.

When you're doing the ABS flush via the Moto Scan, it looks like you only flush out one of the front brakes? Is flushing out one all that is needed during the Moto Scan process?

What year is your 800gs, I have a 2105 and it does not use the round connector, unless there is one somewhere on my bike. I have a can smart connected already connected and was going to use that connection, but alas, it was not a round one but rounded off square connector…

You might have a new obd connector on your bike so will not need an obd-round 10pin adapter. Check in your manual or Google your bike model obd connector

Hallo old mechanic, Ik heb de volledige procedure gevolgd zoals omschreven in de motoscan app. 2 keer zelfs. 500 ml remvloeistof is erdoor heen. Achter is alles ok maar voor lijkt er nogsteeds lucht aanwezig. Ik heb een filmpje gemaakt van wat er gebeurd als ik de remhendel in druk. kzbin.infoKspC1mhjjk8?feature=share.
