Love your videos and the 850GS looks like a winner, It is edging up on the Honda ATAS as my next bike. Fuel capacity seems to be the biggest negative for long distance, but there are always bladders to help that situation.
@barkinsahin6 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same issue: fuel range. With a 15-lt tank..? ATAS is clearly a winner on this. But with tube tyres..?
@DriveMagRiders6 жыл бұрын
I prefer tubeless tires. You can always get an extra 4 litre of fuel with you. This is my recommendation. I had a problem, just once, with the fuel range. But that was because I had to make a 20 or smth km detour. I had just a 2l spare. So I recommend to have 4 l
@kfiratias70266 жыл бұрын
DriveMag Riders agree, I just had 3000 km tour in Ireland and Scotland with my f850gs and the average range was 260 km per tank...more than enough to find your next refueling station especially if you carry extra fuel ;-)
@kfiratias70266 жыл бұрын
Great drone videos, keep sharing the fun you have and let us see the extra equipment you mounted on the bike - I have the F850GS since June and can’t find proper accessories such as good skid plate, engine guards, baggage rack etc. so I’m curious to see that in more details. Safe ride folks.

Always enjoy watching your videos. I'm really interested in the BMW 850 GS and have watched your videos as well as those made by others. A lot has been made of the small fuel tank, the windscreen, and especially the nonadjustable front fork. So I'm wondering, now that you've had it out on a long trip, what do you think ?
@DriveMagRiders6 жыл бұрын
The windscreen is too small and it's really annoying on highway and open roads at more than 100 kph. The fuel problem can be solved with 2x2l extra fuel and the fork... didn't mind.
@richardhaase33696 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the follow up . Now wondering, would you have preferred to be on the Tiger XCA ? It has a bigger tank, bigger / adjustable windscreen, and adjustable forks.
@sylvainb40495 жыл бұрын
Now that you have done this trip on a big Adventure bike, would you prefer to tackle it again on an 850 or would you prefer a lighter dualsport or smaller displacement Adventurer like a Kawi x300 Versys or CRF250L Rally for example. I'm thinking a lighter weight bike would have been so much easier, especially riding solo. Great video! 😎🤙🏼✌

I don’t think of going to the beach in Siberia. But anyway, this bike seems like it would be a nice upgrade from my 95 R1100 GS. But I’d prefer a shaft drive on this trip.
