BMW G650GS GPR Exhaust

Sound difference between the standard exhaust and the G.P.R exhaust with and without the dB killer installed.

Thank you for reporting your conversion process and the results. I like the improved fuel economy and the lower weight. I also think it'd be great to mount a fake exhaust on the right side and use it to store a generous and capable selection of tools and items for a roadside emergency, or possibly as a place to store a reserve fuel tank. However, I like quiet bikes. I may search for a single after market exhaust that is as quiet as the stock BMW exhaust, even if it offers little or no improvement to the fuel economy.

Hi there, Yes there is a baffle at the front, you can remove it... but if you do it will be a straight through exhaust and be very loud and will need the engine to be remapped. I just removed the DB killer at the back and it's loud and lovely pops when you shut down the throttle.

Hi There, I get 72mpg now with this exhaust which is 3-4mpg better then the original BMW one which had a catalyst converter inside the left hand side dummy exhaust.

Hi There, No Modification needed and no remap needed. Just bolt it and off you go. I do very much like this exhaust it has a very nice sound to it, and nice loud pops when you come down the box. It turns a lot of heads lol

Hey, how did you get the db-killer inside the exhaust? I can only put the last part (the one held by the locking ring) inside and both db-killers don't fit.

Hi BoxerMad. I am fitting this exhaust to my '01 F650GS. I bought the GPR used, (long ago, so have no info on the seller). A mount piece is baffling me. In your video, (2:02 min) you show the part to the rt of the bolt. It is spacer with a 2 1/2" bar welded on, w/ a hole drilled in the opposite end. I suspect the 'spacer' to fit between the 'tangs' of the band clamp that circles the can but don't see how it mounts. Your assistance please? Steve Miller, OREGON
