Bmw is my favourite brand right now. Great products and videos like Joe’s made me switch to a G20 and I haven’t regretted my choice at all, nice design, fun to drive and practical for everyday use. Great video as always.

I bought my second BMW in Australia (Only a 118i but hey I love it) inspired by his passion for the brand. If a free car isn't possible (it should be for a brand ambassador) perhaps a car that he can drive for a year and keep swapping out. 👍

Agree with your opinion on the P Zero tires. From my experience they are ok in the summer but wear out quite quickly. Terrible in the wet or greasy conditions.

I dont undertstand this obsession with overpriced carbon fibre trim on cars nowadays unelss their lightweight race cars. This is a 2 ton performance car with over 600 bhp so I doubt a few carbon bits will make much difference...

Totally agree, I'm baffled as to why people spend hundred or thousands on a carbon wing mirror or interior panels. It's all a bit naff at this stage an I predict in coming year or two it'll all be seen as cheesy an people will be removing those parts for something more tasteful.

Hi Joe, you have raised a valid point and I agree the M5 Competition is a better car as you have 4 seats and would be so much easier to park as the M8 is a stunning car but it’s bloody massive and the M5 would be more fun on the track. Why don’t BMW employe you as you proudly promote the brand and never give any negative feedback you are in my book a great ambassador for BMW and they are very lucky to have you on side promoting the brand in such a positive way. And yet again Joe a great short video. Joe, quick correction on interior. The 2020 M5 has the full digital cockpit without those rings you see in 18/19 models, they made the change in 20. That said, the M8 interior is indeed more special overall.

@@stubones thanks for the great insight mate. That's a serious bit of money to drop so quickly so quickly. I guess there's group 1 who literally have big money and want it as soon as available. In which case I'm assuming they can swallow the depreciation as it's not financially an issue. Then like u said people that get slightly used.. one thing I would always be worried about is how the car was maintained in that period. First owner loves it and cares for it. Second owner equally but then just as 3rd owner maybe after 2 odd years the issues come to light and I guess where the car is cheaper by this point the cost of ownership over the next couple if years will be a lot more.... Think I'll just watch the vids if it and use my old diesel lol

I love the M8. It has lots of power and really good aceleration, but it just annoys me that the top speed is only 260 kph which i a top speed comparisin to an audi a6 >:(

Great video Joe. With regards to Adrian Flux, they do tend to be the cheaper insurance and also cover mods. Though recently when switching to an M140i, again one of the cheapest BUT required a £3000.00 excess so I took my business elsewhere.

Adam02M I just got my new 8 series insured by Adrian Flux, and the premium was very, very reasonable.....weirdly, if you give them a bit of notice for the insurance start date, it can make a big difference on price. I’m signing the car paperwork on Tuesday but waiting till Friday (Jan31st) to pick it up......waiting the extra few days saved me £380!! When you get a quote ask them to give you a couple different start dates as it may save you a bit of money.

Hi Joe, you lucky devil, so quick question, how comfortable was the M5 compared to the M8? I found the M840D not as comfortable as my 6 series gran coupe, but it does have the comfort+ setting? Also I found the Porsche Panamera 4E hybrid more comfortable! So for me comfort is important!!

@@stubones I would have the M5 cp, its just as fast and has a better interior, with massage seats etc. Also price diffrence isnt that much from BMWs site both fully loaded the M5 cp is 25k euros cheaper then the M8 cp.

On the subject of these cars recently, I don’t see who would buy them or lease them as the depreciation on the is crazy I mean £140k? You would lose you £30k deposits and buying the car is financial suicide. Best wait 3yrs and get a great bargain but I bet the numbers sold will be very low plus they don’t even fit anywhere. Great videao as always Joe!! Ok i need to pipe up here... You know what ruins all these new BMWs... The button feel on almost every surface. The change from the old twistable controls for the climate control particularly is just mindless... Impossible to change with gloves on or even if you have big fingers it is difficult. Same with the steering wheel compared to the last gen, ruined by the same problem, clicky clacky control buttons that just dont feel nice nor confidence inspiring when your driving. I had a brand new 2020 320d M sport as a courtesey car while my 2014 120d M Sport was in for its MOT only yesterday and it was nice but soon as i got back in my car you suddenly go... Why?! Why did you do that?! Just makes no sense in useability stakes. Small details make big differences.
