Hi i did this but i found it seems like the shaft is loose causing it to go sideways and touch the sides when pull up it goes to position but just falls back down again after reinstalling? Any advice? Maybe just buy a new one

100% the issue I had - wd40 and a few mins later slow rotation, waited a bit longer and suddenly take off like a jet engine!! Getting it out was a PIA as had to remove the plastic latch that holds the footwell cover and remove screw for the 3 exit pipes system to jiggle it out. Well worth it, knackered neck but all back together and running a charm :)

Urgent I snapped plastic tab like you, how did you manage to fit it as the plastic tab I believe is what locks it in place, then the screw tightened but mine just drops down can't secure it, I see that you did but using what method?

Hi Anton-Reginald, at 3:15 in the video you can see how it locks with the labelled protrusions. The broken tab doesn't keep it in and mine remains broken- it just lines up with a reference point so you know when it is in the correct locked position. Hope you managed to re-fit it :)

Thank you, mine is 'clicking', likely leaves/debris like yours, and randomly humming. I should do this and hopefully save it from completely failing.

Thank you for this video. Was simple enough to follow and execute. Struggled a little trying to put it back on but I realized I was rotating it wrongly. Hopefully lubricating it would help getting rid on squeaking noise.

Thanks for the video! Was easier then I thought! Reminder to everyone else that you can just pull down on those black plastic vents blocking the blower motor. The vents lock-in with push-tabs!

You could have plastic welded the tab back on with some some wire mesh. Just encase it causes you any grief in the future.

Yes, that is an idea 👍, it was ok as it was thankfully,so now you know it isn't that important

OK bro, I'm going to try tomorrow and will report back. I was afraid to break something (like I always do when fixing something new) . Thank you for now!

Hi mate thanks for this video. I don't have this issue. But I wanted to see how to look at air vent sort of flow path, as somehow I have an obstruction now since fitting an aftermarket android headunit ontop of the dash to replace the storage box. Something has caused it so that it no longer opens the flap to allow air out of the main vents and side vents :( I was thinking it might have been all the wiring I had to pull up and through behind the radio into the storage box area possibly impeding on something.. no idea :(
