What makes you think batteries are any different? History repeats itself. Scientists are warning about the ecological impact of battery material extraction and the waste created by batteries. And we are ignoring them just like we did the warnings of global warming in the late 70s. Rich investors have tricked everyone yet again.

@@cwx8 I hear you, but I’ve seen a lot of companies coming up with solutions to battery wastes and also battery components. I mean 90% of the battery components can be recycled now, that 10% will also be looked at. I guess for now we will just have to wait and see how the market will pan out. Scientists are just the voices behind the data but the people are the actual buyers of those products.

Informative, thank-you. UK only has 14 locations where you could recharge with Hydrogen. So, unless National Governments or the private sector of mainline Petrol/Diesel/Electric filling stations invest in such infastructure, this concept becoming practicable reality to use and buy such BMW's, is certainly a non-starter in the UK currently. So if going 'Green'. currently we have no-choice, only electric.

Hydrogen vehicle or Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle. The hydrogen function as an energy storage in the form of gaseous chemical. The current hydrogen source is from natural gas reform, which is the current hydrogen source use in the industry for many years. However, now the hydrogen is being produce from renewable electricity, which is through electrolizers (Other discussion). That means, that the hydrogen can be designated as a "green hydrogen". Once in the vehicle, the green hydrogen is chemical and electrical change through a Fuel Cell into electrons (electricity) to run the electric motors. The only exhaust from the vehicle is water. As the vehicle is running, air (oxygen) comes in from the outside and combines with the used hydrogen molecules and releases only water. Thus, there is not any fossil exhaust at all from the vehicle. Only water comes out. However, the challenge the industry is having is the green hydrogen production cost, and the infrastructure development. As a result, the USA government is investing in the research and development of lower hydrogen cost production and infrastructure installations. The benefits: faster fueling time, high performance, no CO2 or methane, less weight, and around 350 miles of endurance. So, yes, i'll choose a hydrogen vehicle.

After nearly 2 years youve prepared this video, hydrogen is even far than reality, as EV now common choice. İt sounds good to fill up hydrogen in 4 minutes but there is no auch stations and the ones opened in some countries closed one by one. İmagine you xould generate hydrogen in your house and you could charge EV also in your House, you would much nire wnergy for hydrogen option to have same mileage because hydrogen generation and the fuel cell efdicincy is not good. İn the future you might expect more efficient batteries with new technology but compressing h2 is already at its limits, and it will not grow more mileage. Still insee some research for trucks and planes, but for cars at least with current infrastructure and technology winner is already EV
