SAMSUNG battery cells are used in the BMW i3 these are a large flat rolled design that fit into each battery container

Auf der IAA stand ein i3 und ein i8 draußen (2015), Leute saßen drin. Es gibt eine kleine Halle da kann man Autos zur Probe fahren. Ich wünschte mir sehr sowas würden Hersteller nicht nur zur IAA machen. Die Probefahrt beim Händler muß anscheind der Händler bezahlen. Die Probefahrten bei der IAA zahlt der Konzern. Ich fahre durch Zufall ein Vollhybrid (ohne Steckdose) und bin begeistert. VW hat stillund heimlich Blockheizkraftwerke gebaut mit Verbrennungsmotor. Ich würde mir wünschen wenn man versucht Akkus der Elektroautos als Stromspeicher anzubieten fürs Solarhaus. Ich denke wer was nützliches herstellt sollte über den Tellerrand sehen.

in several places in Europe you can upgrade the Bmw i3 battery but in my opinion the best is impexneth from the Netherlands and they have original 120ah Bmw batteries, not foldable and the price is around 6000 eur

is it possible to remove cells from individual packs without harming them?

Probably but why? They are really hard to get to. People usually would want to replace the entire assembly.

Does anyone knows one kind of material they use for these black cases for the cell packs at 1:00? Ceramic or plastic?

What is happening at 0:30? Is this some kind of ionization of the plates?

I think its a kind of plasma cleaning to prepare the surface for glueing. The benefits would be that there are no leftovers from any kind of solvent and the simple mechanical integration compared to a swiping mechanism with lots of wear of the cleaning rag.

I think the black material is heat-sealed (laminated) on the cell, to avoid any risk of displacement.

BMW claim an i3 is produced or capable of being produced every 5 min. That's not slow.

I dont know but for me look ineficient packing. Too much iron... with that paking we cant never take over 100Wh per kilogram. Lets see how many bags are ther: 1º- 0:10 >>> individual cell to protect anode+cathod+isolator and liquid solution 2º- 1:35 >>> make big stack of 6 cells 3º- 3:15>>> another case to stack 2 bigstack with tehy 6 cell each. 4º- 4:34>>> one more case to stack 8 dual module(with extra protection on botom) So much automatization and ineficient. You need redeasing that battery.

There are regulations set by the EU. Manufacturers are obliged to abide by these laws. Regulations are set to protect workers and consumers. Additionally they factor in accidents and enviromental protection.
