Thank you so much Brother! For F-series with Ethernet cable there at the .ini was REMOTE writen. (And COM4 16s) Now E-series with obd cable (USB) works for me. Best regards, hope you are still alive.

Same error in connection, the cable operate correct with INPA but not with ISTA D, the port was in COM 3 setting but I've found the Ediabas file setting in REMOTE instead of STD:OBD. Now I change the set. Tomorrow I'll try on car if work. THANKS

@@--unknown-- yes, I mean, I've found in the Bin Folder the set on REMOTE, I've now change with STD:OBD but I'm at home at the moment. Tomorrow morning will test on car. I think this was the issue.

Hey bro have you ever connected to cars built before 1996? My car is a 94 m3 US model and I have the round connector only in the engine bay. I’ve had no luck and the forums say I need to make a special ads cable or something and it needs to be a serial cable only ?

No! Never tried. But there is posibility to connect if you cen get adapter from round one to OBD2. I believe you should get some data out of it.

Try to reinstal tge software, or check your firewall. Maybe that blocking access to internet. Not sure but I believe it's needs ti be connected to internet when using the software

@@fawi_9982 open software and in right up corner have a gear icon for settings. Check is there EDIABAS selected. If not then select and save

I have two questions: 1. Can you please confirm if it can work for ISTA version 4.49? 2. In my laptop in ports I get the option of standard serial over Bluetooth link (COM3). That can be a problem?

Just write it. Replace REMOTE with STD:OBD. Close and save. Restart and try again. Check also Ediabas beibg checked in ISTA settings.
