This is a very good result for an “entry” level BMW. Looks like they have figured out the shared platform for ice & ev.

Would be interesting to see how the numbers come out in summer on 19" or 20" wheels but in any case I'm really hyped about the iX1.

I really like my iX1. One thing they should change though is that, if you press boost while standing still in front of a red light, it will still do a countdown even though you’re not moving. It would be better if you could activate boost, but the countdown would begin when moving. Like some sort of launch control.

Bros it a family orientated car, not an M3 😂
@MM-tt7hy9 ай бұрын
@@YZFMANIAC08 how is that relevant. The boost mode is to get the maximum power from the car. Whats the point of a boost counting down when youre in standstill. On a sidenote, as someone who frequently drives an M4 Competition Xdrive, I must say the iX1 has quite some power for a family car. 313hp and 495nm in torque is nothing to be ashamed of.

Will have to look at this or the forthcoming Mini Countryman EV when my current Mini S E’s lease ends. I’ve really liked my Mini, it’s small battery has never been a problem for me as I use it as a car for short journeys anyway, longest run is 80 miles round trip so I don’t need anything bigger/heavier BUT the next Mini hatch EV will be imported from China and I try not to support China’s take over of the world by stealth. I do have 2023 diesel Land Rover for longer journeys and off-road stuff.

Can you squeeze in one 0-100 @ 20-10% SoC? The whole 10% steps are too much work, but low SoC is important i dont drive that often with 80% and above. I just had a ID3 and @ 20% SoC it felt way more sluggish than my Megane e-tech.

In Sport mode you don't need to boost.

I agree - pure gimmick that serves no purpose. The same level of power should be available at all times; simply press the accelerator, like a normal EV
