No, max 30 minutes to save battery. But you can start it for another 30 minute period as long as charging is ok.

Really interesting to see how you can plan the journey with charging stops. One question on the remote camera, does it only do internal pictures? My current car doesn’t do internal but sends a surround view by extending the wing mirrors and taking a picture from all 4 external cameras.

Drive recorder records outside with 4 cameras in case of accident but you can’t get those videos in the app. You can only watch them in the car or download on usb. Maybe it’s legal regulations that you are not allowed to photograph other persons outside the car.

Nice review, thanks for that! Can you plan your route also with for example a trailer attached to the car? The consumption will be a lot higher of course, or does the car a recalculation during the trip and will advice an alternative stop?

Obviously, a lot of the features presented will depend on the existence of the corresponding optionals on the car (like interior camera, alarm system, personal eSIM, 360 exterior camera system, etc.) By the way, for the car's network connectivity, are you using the personal eSIM or the embedded SIM from BMW? How much does it cost per month and what is included in the subscription?

I can only use the embedded sim from BMW. I have the option with personal e-sim in the car but BMW has no carrier in Sweden that support that. I think it’s the same in whole Europe. Only US have one carrier cooperating with BMW about this.

@@swede-365 Just to confirm, the BMW Connected Services (embedded SIM from BMW) is free to use for 3 years after the car is delivered, right? After that I assume you have to pay, unless BMW approves some carriers in Europe by then (so that you can use the personal eSIM). Did you check how much this service would cost outside of the initial period?

You have to check what is valid in your country. In Sweden I think it’s free 3 years but don’t know what happens after that.
