When you slid the forks up did you get a shorter rear shock as well? Or does it ride well without dropping the back? Doing a build myself right now

Hello I did the same operation on my K100, but I don't know if it's a good idea, the fork is more in compression. Maybe it can be better to find a shorter main spring and a taller pressure spring?

Servus und danke erstmal 🙏🏻😊 Puh also das mit der Fußrastenanlage ist so ne Sache, bei mir soll es ja ein Zweisitzer werden, von daher gibt es da nicht viel Auswahl. Die von Raask ist eigentlich perfekt für sowas, kommt allerdings ohne ABE und muss per Einzelabnahme eingetragen werden. Diskussionen mit dem TÜV versuche ich grundsätzlich zu vermeiden 😆

Hi @CP Customs, Did you end up with going with 5 CM? Furthermore how did it affect the ride with the space in there. I guess it would be like having a 5cm preload of the spring. Asking as i'm doing the same on my BMW r80rt 1987 that has the same front suspension, and i'm not sure if i should cut of the same amount of spring as the spacer insert to avoid the preload. my insert/spacer is only 3 cm. BR Chris

Where did you buy the lowering kit? And is it possible to do this without a hydraulic machine?

It is not really a kit is is just the additional tube I put in. I bought it from BMW original parts online shop. It is possible but you need a lot of force to push, pull and put the clip inside at the same time 😅 If you want to know more about the process hit me up on instagram 😎 BR Patrick ✌🏻
