Old video, but good :-) Thank you very much. Lifting the rear half is essential to be able to wiggle the shock out. I was struggling for about 10 min until I watch this video and noticed the straps holding the rear :-). My contribution (tried on a R1300R): based on the maintenance manual, you can remove the rear shock without removing the rear wheel and without removing the rear triangle/which bone: 1. Remove the preload handle by removing the little screw. 2. Remove the two top bolts of the lower triangle. Support the rear wheel (I use my foot) and the bolts come off easily. The rear triangle now slides down. Let it hang. 3. Remove the top bolt holding the suspension. 4. Remove the suspension to the bottom. You have to lift the rear wheel for it to come out.

hi THX for that! I try to track exact color for the engine but BMW was not able to help me so I went to the shop I bought black hammerite its done the job!
