The K1200S / K1300S are very special. Bad on BMW for ending their run. Their Duolever / Paralever suspension absorbs bumps without a wallow or wobble, even when leaning way over.

first - thank you for the 100-200. didn't know the time. second - it's a superb bike. I was super happy with mine. 260kmh seemed effortless . third - of course we all wished it went 320kmh :DD No point, but still... haha

Hello guys any of you have any sort of vibration when going off the throttle or when cruising at a steady speed?? I have a 2014 k1300s with this sort of vibration and am trying to figure out how to fix it

My K 1300 S is latest model build in 2014/2015 and yes there are some vibrations when riding at constant speed, but as I do not ride at constant speed in most of the times I can`t even tell you at what speed this is occurring . . . I did not really notice any (stronger) vibrations while going off the throttle yet, so this is to my mind not an issue with my bike. Same as the vibrations at constant speed, for me this is not a real issue to worry about. I am also riding a Kawasaki Versys 650 and yes there are also vibrations. If the vibrations are really excessive at your bike I would contact a BMW dealer or a garage which is specialized on BMW K models.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I love my K1300S! I have an unrelated question, what kind of tank cover/protector is that? I am looking for something similar for my bike and like the way it looks. Also it obviously stays on at speed :) Thank you!

This the "Bagster", you can use it just as tank cover or fix a bag directly on it. The cover is specially designed for the bike you want to use it for. I am having the same cover for my Versys so I can use the bag on both bikes just on the fly . . .

Hst du den Kardan der R dran? Die S müsste üblicherweise 300 schaffen, die R wie meine geht bei 285 in den Begrenzer. Oder sind das Geschwindigkeitsdaten direkt ausm GPS? Den Original Akra. kann ich dir übrigens nicht empfehlen der Erfahrung nach. Arrow klingt besser, hat besseren Durchsatz, ist leichter und du kannst u.U auf den Kat verzichten für ein paar PS.

Ich vermute, die Übersetzung dürfte ziemlich gleich sein. Die Geschwindigkeit ist aus dem GPS. Ab Tacho 285 bis 290 passiert im Grunde nicht mehr viel, das sind dann echte 275 bis 280, da läuft sie sich dann "tot", sieht man ja auch im Video. Ich habe aber auch keine Racekombi, sondern nur ein 2-teilige Texlikombi mit Verbindungsreissverschluss. Eingetragene V-Max ist 285, das dürfte zumindest mit der Textolkombi schwer werden . . . Die Übersetzung finde ich auch relativ kurz, der 5. Gang geht nur bis 240 kmh. Dafür ist sie bis 240 halt relativ gut unterwegs . . . Bin am Überlegen, ob ich mal ein anderes Mapping testen soll. Werde mir mal im Frühjahr die neue Kawa H2 SX ausleihen und eine Vergleichsfahrt machen : ) .

Ne, also die Übesetzung unterscheidet sich um 5%. Das wird auch irgendwo von BMW angegeben. Ich selbst hab die Erfahrung auch, denn mein Nachbar fährt die S. NA gut, in Textil is das durchaus noch ein Unterschied. Meine schafft in Renn-Leder mit Höcker - aber eben 'R' alleine laut Tacho knappe 280, dann is sie in dem Drehzahlbereich in dem die Leistung zu stark nachlässt. Die H2 hat mich sehr enttäuscht mit ihren Rahmendaten. Ich wusste dass das die einzige Maschine ist die mich von meiner K weglocken kann, aber SO auf keinen Fall. Da baut man nen Konpressormotor und stimmt den so lasch ab? Weder sonderliches Drehmoment, noch brachiale PS im hohen Bereich.. Ich halte das für Unfug.

Gobsmacked😳that surprised me I didn’t think they were as quick as that acceleration wise. I own a full power ZZR 1100 D2 and it’s classed as a fast bike with bonkers acceleration but I can see by the acceleration figures counting in seconds this will destroy my bike however the top speed looks almost the same. You must be able to keep with a ZZR 1400 below 240 kph then the ZZR should pull away.

Besides the exhaust and other air filters it is stock, no "mapping" or other modifications done. My weight ist around 170 pounds and I did wear a textile touring jacket/trousers only, no race suite . . .

Take out your dB silencer she will thank you... I have a 2010 and had issues With rolling stalls took out the dB silencer and now she's throaty ;)

Yes I know, but this is completely illegal in Germany... If you get stopped by the police they can tow away the bike right away because your bike has got no more registration. The cops even check if the welding point is still there as some people only shorten the DB-eater and put it back in. I got stopped last year but they had to let me go : ) . Together with the sport air filters the sound is not as bad when riding the bike...

@@ttr6611 WOW that's bad. UK you can get away with it. Also so easy to do. On low throttle the sound is low due to the valve in the down pipe. Then get fun when you open it up.

Thanks for video. Bought this model bike couple months ago. Beast-like engine! Still afraid to go over 250 kph (while I did much more on my previous gixer). Do such speeds wear the shaft drive and reduction gear? Or does bike tolerate them well?

Just bought my K 1300 last year, but I don`t think wear will be a problem as you do not drive at this speed for a longer time . . . Only rear tire will suffer!

You do not stay for long times at this speed on public freeways, so to my mind I do not think this should be a problem for the shaft or the gear box. The part beeing weared most will be the rear tire, at these speeds it will last only some hundred kilometers . . .

Hi, I am using RaceChrono Pro which allows to synchronize the engine and GPS data with any action cam video clip afterwords. I use the OBDLink LX (the green one) . . . You need an adapter cable to connect the OBDLink to the interface of the K 1300. For the GPS and acceleration data in the video I used my Samsung S7, for measuring the acceleration data I used the VBox. It is also possible to connect RaceChrono Pro to the VBox by Bluetooth, but trying this I had a time lack between speed and rpm.

It is the OBDLink LX, the green one . . ., OBD II interface. You need an adapter cable to get it plugged in to the K 1300 S.

No, it is not a HP Option, you just need the stuff as described above, which is the Race Chrono App, the OBDII Link and an Adapter Cable to connect it to the OBD interface of your K 1300. For the video you can use your mobile phone or any other action cam. The Race Chrono App allows you to choose engine data and produce the video overlay . . .
