Great to see 2 riders both enjoying the ride with excellent situation awareness, sensible timing keeping a high average and not disturbing other road users...enjoy guys, great riding.

That looked like a fun ride! How long have you had that bike and what's the mileage? Any mechanical/electrical issues with the bike? I'm seriously thinking about getting a K1200S and would like to get some tips. Thanks in advance!

ryvoltz I’ve owned the k1300s for almost 2 years now and I have had zero issues so far. But my mileage is still below 10k miles. (Wish I had more time to ride) I’m sorry I can’t contribute more information for long term ownership yet. The only issues that I’ve seen are from the k1200s in this video. The fuel indicator strip went out, the dealer fixed it under warranty. Nothing else. That bike has around 12k+ miles. Good luck on your research!

I put 87,000 KMS on my 2005 K 1200 S. Fantastic bike, loved damper adjustment on the fly. Only issue was one dud coil. I traded it on a K 1300 R which is amazing !

Had my 2010 now for 3 years just regular maintenance to own its not that bad or at least as bad as people make the (it's a bmw your gonna pay alot for everything arguement) to be fair you don't buy a Ferrari and complain about the part prices.

On my channel, I recently posted the full 1/4 mile drag racing vids, plus if you dig back a ways, you will find the full 'walk around' video and some of it blasting the wonderful roads out here on the Utah / AZ border. Not sure YT will allow me to post a link on your page.

And you both had some safety gear on......way to destroy english prejudice with you folks..... Looked like a fun safe ride in a landscape on its way back from a nuke strike.

That route looks remarkably like Vasco Rd, between Brentwood and Livermore, CA.

Looks like Northern California, up by Nacimiento / Ferguson. Still very dry up there. Scroll through my Channel to see my modded K13S. Several vids up on it. I think these are one of the more highly under-rated (in the press) bikes ever made. Gave you a thumbs up and am subscribing. Thanks for Sharing! / Brakelate /

Brakelateatmsn thanks for the support! I agree about the press underrating this bike. Not a lot of people I run into really know much about this bike. The first test ride sold me. It’s a shame they are no longer made. What mods have you done to you k13s?
@Brakelateatmsn7 жыл бұрын
My K13S has many cosmetic mods that really set it apart as a 'one of a kind'. The most enjoyable are the full Akro system, power commander and tune. I call it the 'Gentleman's Busa Killer', as it is quicker / stronger than my '08 Hayabusa was, but with all the electronic options, quick shifter, and shaft drive! Plus the best detachable luggage system ever.

My 1300 is grey. Boring! But it is a great bike. Especially for tall dudes.
