Yesterday I took my K1600 out for the first time this year, almost forgot how good that engine is. Good video 😃

Nice video, very informative! I installed them on my B and removed them the same day. I was dragging / touching the toes of my feet constantly.

I'm 6'1 and for me it was the handlebars - shoulder and neck pain after an hour or riding. To counter that, I got Sargent seat with a backrest and Horizon Multi-Axis Adjustable Handlebars from HeliBars. Worth every penny! You should also look into adding highway pegs that attach to your crash bars. Cheers!

If you've not seen the video on the bar risers, that does help, but you don't get the adjustability of the Helibars. I had a set on my 08 K1200S and was also surprised at how much of an improvement it was. :)

Did you get highway pegs? Im looking for a source?

Thanks for sharing. Even though I'm only 5:10, an inch lower would be significant. The ground clearance issue is a negative though.

Ask any woman how important the last inch is, lol!

How are you after 1 month? Did you get them and is it better?? I'm 6'1 too and rider position is not bad but on long trips I would like a little more leg room. Also looking into a GW seems less powerfull but more comfy...

need dimensions of the male end; total female end width as also inside diamerter. along wtih hole size for pins; so you can use on other bikes.

Great video on the pros and cons of lowering the pegs. I can’t imagine what it’s like on the GTL and Bagger with 750mm seat height. The GT is 810 or 830mm depending if you flip the lever inside.
@JayBearjaysbigadventure2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it really does make the bike more comfortable, but hey, nothin's free, right?

The worst part is you need an expensive special adapter to lower the foot brake.
@billypike94022 жыл бұрын
Jeff, I have the same adapter on my 19 GT. Were you able to adjust the gear shift lever at the top of the rod?
@JayBearjaysbigadventure2 жыл бұрын
On my bike, it is going to be the bottom. I'm going to explore that soon. :)
@billypike94022 жыл бұрын
I ordered the suburban machinery lowering adapter, installed it, but it lowers the lever too much. I removed it and just adjusted the bottom rod. Works perfect for my size 14’s!

just install those this winter, and got my first ride few days ago . its a must, make such a difference. Those chinese got it right at 40 $ CANADIAN. Wunderlinch had some at 3 or 4 times more expensive. see ya from a northern country.
