I liked the old analog gauges and instant knobs I could grab for heat and air. If we have to have the display, I prefer it integrated into a beautiful design with a binnacle, maybe 2 screens are needed.

You mentioned design language. What BMW have done is put 14 people in a room who don't speak each other's language. The headlights don't speak to the front vents, the rear vertical cues share nothing with the taillights. And then there's the afterthought dash display... I could go on and on. Disaster. But kudos for putting a positive spin on it.

I had the 2018 LCi M2 and was going to buy this till i saw the design🤦‍♂i dare say it will be nice to drive but my god is it ugly ended up buying a M4 R.I.P M2 this will probably be the last one with a petrol engine. what a way to go out way to go BMW😢

Considering everything else that they make now, (crap) it isn't half bad. The attempt at "retro" 80s styling looks better than the old one to me, but the power seats, charging for the carbon roof, and the stupid Ipad dashboard is , I guess, unavoidable for a "modern" car. Some simple manual cloth seats and interior would've been better with old fashioned analog instrument cluster. Even having the option of an Automatic shouldn't exist. Why are modern BMWs headlights exactly like Audis and why not have the look of the traditional round lights ? The Flared fenders are a cool throwback to the E30 M3, but if those stupid vents in the rear bumper aren't functional they shouldn't be there. It prob will be the very last M car with a manual offered.

M2CS is the car to get not just plain M2 you get 14 HP more and the car is much more limited and rare and way more desirable and has much better performance then regular M2
