@Franzino I've just watched through all your M2 lap videos. I salute you...beautiful driving, I wish I could drive my car like that, maybe with some driver training and practice. What I find really interesting and commendable, is how you have not felt the need to mod your car like most people do immediately on buying a performance car like this. You have kept it totally standard except brake pads, never felt the need to put an aftermarket intercooler/downpipe/air filter or even a basic tune to take it 400hp. You've run with a totally standard car and learned it inside out. Brilliant!!!! I've read through your comments and watched the videos...i'm inspired my friend...would love to go out as a passenger with you on The Ring in the M2. I'm in the UK and it's on my wishlist to visit The Ring...one day!

@talat hussain Never saw your reaction…so here is my very late answer ;) Thanks for the nice comment and liking the way I drive… From my first car till now, I had 5x sporty cars and with every car I owned the power increased slightly (120HP => 150HP => 200 HP => 340HP => 370HP). Every car I owned, I had for a long time and I knew them indeed inside and out. I think the first time I visited the Nurburgring was in 2006 or 2007 with my e46 325i. I started driving on track (mostly Nurburgring) on a regular basis from 2012. In 2017 & 2018 I did not have much time to visit the Nurburgring regulary. My track knowledge is rather good and I’m a not a bad driver…. But I could take some driving lines on the Nurburgring way better and that would make me even a better (faster) driver. No extra added horsepower is going to chance this fact that I still have much room for personal improvement. I want to improve myself and my skills. I never found the need to give my cars extra power then how they came from the factory (I also don’t want to damage my engine and give it extra stress it was not really designed for). A lot of people are indeed fascinated by horsepower numbers or want to be the fastest to get a way in a straight line (traffic lights). In my opinion; more power does not make you a better driver…it can indeed add extra excitement to a standard car that is certainly true. With more power you can indeed be faster…but in essence the extra power does not make you a better driver or make you get to know the track or your cars behaviour any better. Also; in my opinion the M2 does not need more power or more exhaust noise (or I don’t feel the need for it). The new M2 competition does indeed have more power, but also weighs more. More power is never on my “To Do” list of my cars. Upgrading the brakes, suspension and sometimes the tyres (Michelin CUP 2) is mostly the things I do on my cars that also come on track. But on my M2 I left the suspension and tyres (Michelin Supersport) standard for now. I have the M2 for 2 years and a couple of months (drove + 50.000km). For track duty; I only upgraded the brakes with different pads, steel linings and high temp brake oil. The rest of the car is completely stock (it’s also my daily driver). I first want to know the standard car inside and out and then maybe at one point change the suspension and the tyres. I did this the same way with my Z4M. Maybe I’m going to upgrade my M2 suspension this year or next year with a Öhlins set-up and a extra set of track wheels with CUP2 tyres. It’s a nice extra that will make the M2 drive even nicer on street and track, but not a real necessity. In the end; I drive the Nurburgring only for my own fun, there are absolutely no prizes to win if you are the fastest. There will always be someone faster then you with a faster car or more experienced driver behind the wheel. A M2 with DCT gearbox is faster on track…but I went for a slower M2 manual, because it gives me more fun and more involvement when driving. I hope you can visit the Nurburgring one day…it’s an epic place for people who love cars and love driving :)
