Even more true in this simple configuration : the manual gearbox and the absence of navigation screen (optional at the time) lets the car age pretty well compared to others with old looking gps and slow smg2

Worth mentioning in passing that Alpina work their magic on the 3 series, with the B3 and D3. Back in the day there was an E46 based Alpina ( B3) which looks splendid. There are a couple of examples of convertible Alpina B3 (E46 based) cars on ebay in the UK. I think they look as good today as when they rolled out of the factory door.

Get the late model from 2004 to 2006, less worries about the rod bearings. Still would change them after 100,000km, and be aware for the rear subframe.

My favorite generation of the E46 M3😍😍😍, imo back when BMW/M products were about driving dynamics and character but this is not the only model of course that’s gets all the fame, who else just loves the styling of this car and that metallic, raw, no turbos 3.2 N/A inline6 motor 🧐🧐🧐

FAST///M3 it truly is a fantastic car from the Bavarians it’s a shame that the current M models and BMW’s in general don’t have the same character like this E46 M3 has and imo they don’t give you the feeling of wanting to drive that much epically in the sound department imo the F90 M5 yeah for 100k+ you get a lot of amenities and plenty of HP/Torque, AWD and RWD but it will never be as nostalgic and pure as the E39 M5 and same with the F80 M3 from the start of it the motor doesn’t leave me in awww as the RPMs are fluctuating, sure turbos can give you more torque, but I strongly prefer N/A motors 🤓💁🏾‍♂️

It's a shame 😒 they put Turbos to please Eco friendly punks. I myself do no like Turbos. I mean they are cool but just not my cup of beer. Makes me wonder in what direction BMW Motorsports is going. I have not kept up with what's going on but from what I see and hear it's a little disappointing 😣 but I really hope the M2 is the next E46 because the current M3/M4 is way too big.

When you put in the draggy, never shift before 8000 rpm. When you have normal tyres, the 0-100 is under 5 secs. Always in sport mode, dsc off!
