My car came with M Sport with perforated leather. I swapped to the M3 wheel and prefer it.

Thanks! I believe the M Sport wheel is perforated or has the "golf ball" texture on the grip and the stitching is black whereas the M3 wheel is a smooth grip and has the tricolor stitching to match the M logo. Besides that, they are very similar. Here's a photo of the M Sport wheel bit.ly/2X5CWSP

Nice! The button is just a label. Since you don’t have an M3, it will just act as the button in the same spot on your previous wheel, which is voice activation. Enjoy your thicker M wheel!

I have done the same steering wheel swap on 318D but I am missing the black plug for steering controls, the harness for the steering control buttons is there but no plug attached to it, strange 🤷‍♂️

I need help.. I have Bmw e90 2005 and I need some instructions for installng subwoofer and amp I heard that if I switch the radio that will broke my radio and buttons on steerubg wheel wont work.. Finally doing this next week! Although mine is described as the M Sport LCI Steering wheel with paddles. But nonetheless it looks beautiful, I’ll have to transfer the heated wheel feature on that one and do the paddle shifter retrofit as well. Should be fun and will definitely be worth it.

We tried just for fun but it wouldn't go onto the hub. I think the splines are slightly different. And the wiring harness is completely different. It would be cool if someone could figure out a way to do it!

There was one time when i changed my e46 steering wheel by myself without disconnecting the negative thing from the battery, the airbag censor on my speedometer turned on and i had to reset it😂

Newton meters. It’s a measurement of how tight the bolt needs to be. He’s using a torque wrench that has a screen that tells him how much torque he is applying.
