Alcantara does tend to wear quicker than leather but I still love how it feels. This steering wheel had both so I think it will do fine in the long run!

Great video! 👍 Here's another tip for steering wheel removal. If the wheel is being stubborn, re-insert the bolt but leave it a little loose. Then you can pull harder on the steering wheel, without punching yourself in the face.

Might upgrade mine! Recently picked up an E92 M3. Need to also replace the gooseneck shift knob with a ZHP or F10 M5 knob, I'd like to retain the illumination. Great video, as always ;)
