BMW M3 Vs. BMW 135i | Road Test Comparison

With both a 135i and a E93 M3 on hand, it only seemed right to compare the two cars side by side. Both cars are amazing, but let us know which you prefer.

I have had both 135i and M3 and with a little work the 135i is a better car for me....I modified my 135i to roughly 430hp at 5500....and with the weight far lighter it was much more fun to drive..

I test drove a few DCT 135i's and found a HUGE difference between the "M Power/M Performance" model vs without. If you don't have a "SPORT" button as well as the "SPORT" transmission mode, you aren't experiencing a true 135i. Put a "M" 135i in "Sport/Sport" and I don't think an M3 of the same year will beat it at anything.

Basically a bunch of kids vlogging what they had read from the car journalists. Understeer, Turn-in? You're not going to get a sense of either of these unless you push on a closed circuit. Both are fantastically capable street cars. Also, drive a stick.

Good video. I think if you tune it with mhd for the 135i you'll be more than happy. My 135i keeps up with 600whp cars.

Sport button allows the turbo to spool up faster, sport mode changes the shifting, pull the paddles and it stays in manual mode.

think he only engages the sports mode on the 135i and not the sports button...it has 3 levels...D -> DS -> S

Well, I owned both the 135IS and E92 M3 coupe also the M4 and the M2. When you tune the 135is it will be faster than the E92 M3 in straight line. However on the track the M3 will win due to the proper suspension and rigidity of the chassis
