@@currymasterrace7153 dbalis does a 292 roller cam conversion cam, they also do a 272 cam that's roller too, Ide use m43 rocker gear and use the roller cam

@@Grooty79 yup that’s the plan 👍 I was going to get 292 for max power but seeing that the 272 make that much power and a good torque curve, I’m definitely going 272 and stock bottom end. Maybe in the future I’ll do a high compression stroker

117 -120 rwkw 🤣🤣🤣 but 250 odd nm, once I'm finished with this m40 it's going to slay m50s on the track, it would be fast around a circuit now if we stripped the car

You got 130kw without a turbo? I have a m40, I would try to upgrade it in a 1.6 turbocharged way, but what happens if a turbo is installed in this process you have done?

We did a turbo m40b18 and that was super low compression and it went 180rwkw and 450nm of torque, turbo will make lots more torque

@@LPOX149. M10 will make great power to, we have a m10b20 std engine with 9.5-1 compression making 200rwkw with a cheap eBay rb25 nissan turbo, it will make even more power on e85, the M40 or M10 is quite capable, a 2.1 M40 stroker would possibly make 300rwkw if built correctly and the money spent in the right places

@@LPOX149. There's no real instructional videos out there to follow as most engine builds are custom to each car and setup any off the shelf stuff is usually a compromise, my advice starts researching what turbos and parts people are using and go from there

I saw a few videos on the internet and youtubeda, I think they are making the m40 engine 2.0 using m42-m44 engine parts, what do you say to this situation, if the engine volume is increased and the turbo is installed, how will things be?

How much did the stock m40b18 make on this particular dyno if i may ask? Stupidly wicked btw!!🤘🤘 hoping to hear more about the M40!

Never ran one on this Dyno, usually they make 100hp at the crank so 75kw, the 240box and 168 diff should soak about 25-30hp, so realistically Ide expect 60rwkw from a healthy m40 we have effectively doubled its power

@@Grooty79 Lovely. Also, you said it uses crank, rods and pistons from an M42 but the head is still from the M40, does it still has the original 8.8:1 compression ratio or the pistonhead is high enough to achieve 10:1?

318is crank, rods and pistons, small cam , I built the itbs and there 45mm motorbike items, the previous owner built the engine with my input and new owner may have me open it up at some stage and port the head plus optimise the combo

Very nice work ! It seems you used four spark coil from M43,... For emulation i use ostrich 2 with tunerpro and it's work right.
