2:38 The fuse might be good but there might be corrosion in the connector or on the fuse blades. Happened to me with my flasher fuse. Took it out, put it back in and they worked. Didn't have to clean anything. 2:50 How about hot wiring the connector (3:22) on the pump to see if the problem is somewhere else in the electrical system? Then, what if there is fuel and it won't start? Crank or cam sensors?

Could have been the pump relay, should have checked that before buying a new pump.

Another check you should do before replacing the fuel pump is to disconnect the hose like you did at 3:30 and then put a piece of fuel hose on the connector (30 cm / 12 inches should be enough). Put the open end into a jar or bottle and then have somebody crank the car for 5-10 seconds. If it fills up with fuel, you know that your problem lies somewhere between the pump and the engine. Replacing the fuel pump would be fruitless and a waste of money in that case.
