That's why I do this! 👍I'm glad you found my channel. I like to explain as much as I can about this car and cars in general. BMW's aren't difficult to work on, rather simple really by way of their design. It's just a matter of having the right tools and a little bit of understanding how these cars are put together. Thanks for checking out my channel! Still D R E!

Hey D R, Kies Motorsports JUST made a video for the belt tensioner and pulley a day or two ago! Go check out his video for a great DIY. If you have an M235i there might be a little less room to work with though.

Hey I just discovered your channel and I really enjoy your content. I'm looking to get an M235i in the next few weeks, have you had any big problems with yours (reliability, etc)?
@TheWrenchLab4 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any issues at all. I've been doing a lot of preventative maintenance to mitigate potential problems.Hope you can find a great car without any issues. Stay tunes for anything M235i related!

Hey Mike, I am planning on installing the pure stage 2 on my car tomorrow and was wondering if you might be able to answer some questions if you have the time. Does the turbo need to be primed before starting the car? I found and old post from pure saying that there is enough oil in there from the vsr balancing. Also if you just turn the cars on in accessory does it prime oil at all or just fuel? And do you know if the electronic wastegate needs to be adjusted? I have not read anything on this, except I did see some notes on it in Dinan's turbo install?

First, I'm jealous! 🤩 Now for the priming; Because of the position of these turbos, priming the turbo would be a total pain and a messy one at that. For a big, top mount turbo, a lot more necessary and simpler. These Pure unit's, like stock, are not large turbos, so I would go with the advice Pure gives on any (or not) required priming. As for the wastegate adjustment... I've yet to hear ANYONE mention this on BMWs. I just watched about 6 different videos on Pure Turbo installs and nobody mentioned it. My SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) would be any tuning (mhd, bm3, custom flash) would take care of any necessary adjustments to the EWG. Dinan may have mentioned that a few years back because they were using less sophisticated methods of tuning, compared to what's possible now. i.e. a Bluetooth adapter plugging into the OBD port so you can tune your car with your cell phone! Crazy..... Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. If I find anything about either subject, I'll get back to you. And please let me know if you find anything as well, so we can spread the word! 👍 Cool?!

Hey mike... Question for you. Why when buying parts for my 2014 m235i... Do they ask built on or before feb 02 2014. If you have answer i would love to no why..thanks bro

It's to find out if your N55 has an electronic waste gate or the older pneumatic waste gate. BMW changed from the pneumatic (known as PWG) to the electronic waste gate (known as EWG) on Feb 2, 2014. If you don't know the production date of your car, you can call a BMW dealer, the service department, give them your VIN and they should be able to help you out. There are a a few websites that you can try but I would be more trusting of a dealers information. Hope this helped answer your question. 😊👍
