whats the year of this N47 engine? because Ista says this new tool works on enignes that a after 2013

It’s a 2015 car. You’re right this is the newer timing tool for the B series engines, the camshaft locking is the same as the n47, the flywheel lock is different.

I love Minis , my wife has a 2021 Cooper S, and my son has 2011 R56 Mini One, they drive great , but to work on , thats a different story. I'll stick with my Mk2 Ford Focus, Duratec engine and much easier to work on.

I agree, it's a great experience driving a Mini on twisty roads, but it's not the easiest car to work on.

The most idiotic engine design and engineering from BMW I've ever seen in my life. To change freaking timing chain you must take out the whole engine from your car. WTF is that?! Who in the hell designed to place timing chain BEHIND the engine?!

Sorry man but this video needs serious editing, the sound is really muffled to start with, then it's clearer but quiet, then at about 9 mins 24s I get double audio!
