Drilling holes in the base defeats the purpose of the reservoir. All the fuel is going to run back out.

Hey brother, just wanted to ask how did you connect the actual boost line to the hobbs switch, did you have to buy an adapter with a barb fitting or it just slips onto the threaded end of the hobbs switch? Thanks

Hello, I had to purchase a barbed NPT adapter.

What am i missing? That link leads to an $800 set up.

Yes, this is the most cost effective way to build a stage 3 pump, unless you want to buy one pre-built.

be careful if u ever get stranded a cause would be that the stage 3 fuel pump over heated the fuel module so u might have to upgrade the module that can handle the volts a stage 3 needs

Does drilling the holes at the bottom of the pump defeat the purpose of a bucket?
@Kamshaft Жыл бұрын
Great question! It still stays full of fuel because the Venturi is constantly filling the bucket with fuel much faster than those holes can drain fuel. I am also happy to report I have ran my tank very close to empty multiple times with no issues.

@@Kamshaft ye I found it. They just have it for the same price of a complete/incomplete kit which sucks :/

I wonder how long it’ll take for the boost to get to the Hobbs switch with it all the way in the back of the car. Probably won’t matter if it’s activating at 14 psi. Should be enough time to activate before getting into serious boost where you need it. Great diy though! So you bought the stage 3 diy kit? Looks like it’s around $700 for that.
