As someone who owns a CLK 55, the CLK class is one of the most underrated classes in all of Mercedes, but I’m glad the C63 picked up where the clks left off

W208 Underrated for sure. 55 m113 powerful amg v8, 43 is chep to get and xou dtull have the m113, 320 was not bad for racing and drifting, and the m111 kompressors are just unstoppable, can be tuned up to around 340 hp and they came with 5 or 6 speed manuals (in europe at least). You get a nice interior, elegant exterior, pillarless doors, rwd, longitudinal engine.... And the w209 is the same thing. Good engines (mostly) , manual transmissions, nice coupe form, same c class base (w203 instead of the w202)

Both are great both have great pull and power BUT bmw is more customizable with all its motors wether it’s 4 cyl , 6 cyl or 8cyl as far as tuning they both perform great with a tune and other performance improvements/upgrades it’s just in order to have a very fast Mercedes you have to have a Mercedes that’s like 2005-7 & up to even really do anything (that isn’t too costly) but when you have a older Mercedes you can make them faster BUT you gotta be willing to pay the price. German engineering has a thing in the car community where all the other car brands say they underrate their HP. I will say if you want gains Quicker BMW ALL THE WAY. But if you wanna go fast but sit pretty & your willing to spend a few dollars to upgrade or to just buy it new and upgrade it then you’re fine, just depends on the model and what you do

Mercedes loans their best engines to other manufacturers such as V8 bi turbos to Aston Martin, v12s to Pagani, consumer variant F1 turbo 4 cylinders to Lotus... But there are other factors to consider too. When you look at them from an investment standpoint, they drop value significantly but Mercedes will have models that'll be worth millions in future. They already do.

@@notlNSIGHT Personally both my 2018 C300 and 2023 E53 haven't had squeaking issues. The only squeaking on the C300 is the glovebox really. Is it specific models that this happens on? I see this mentioned a lot but don't have experience.

@@siloedspace You might have gotten lucky then. A lot of Mercedes models have issues with creaky interiors. Specifically in the US if they're manufactured in Alabama
