I recently purchased a "new to me" 2021 C300 coupe. So far I'm loving it! It's my first ever Mercedes. I was fairly familiar with the line up back when it was just C, E, and S models and their respective AMG models. But then they began to grow with SUVs, SUV coupes and other types. I didn't even know there was an X model truck. We don't have them here in the U.S as far as I know. This video was definitely helpful in breaking down the naming conventions and model lineups! Thanks! :)

@@TravieFam The only issue I had was the forward collision detection sensor didn't work. The dealership replaced the module that controls it at no cost to me and it's been great ever since. Other than that I've not had any issues with it. I get compliments all the time from strangers on how good it looks.

Thanks for your comment 🙏 The E refers to E-class 220d refers to a 4 cylinder diesel engine CDI refers to a different fuel injection procedure where the fuel is pushed universally into all the cylinders (they no longer use this notation in their new cars) Elegance refers to one of the trims you can get the E-class in, so their might be amg-line as another trim which looks more sporty and has more options and stuff, but not an actual amg engine...

Thanks for your question 🙏 The number represents which engine trim the car is in. The higher the number, the better the engine. So A250 has a bigger engine than A200. The same goes for AMG models; A45 has a better engine than A35. However, AMG models have a two-digit number only, rather than three, even though AMG models are faster.
