BMW R 1150 GSA GS Adventure - SAVED from breaking for parts £2,700 to fix my Adventure Motorcycle

Hi everyone before commenting please note if its negative, please don't. This happened on two comments by a brand new anonymous named account. Taking a leaf out of other channels. To be fair this has now been turned on for all comments and replies. Thanks Mark I'm so happy she's all ready to rock again I honestly was going to have to sell her for parts or as spares or repairs until dad suprised me with the funds to sort her. Unbelievably grateful to him.

There's a lot to be said for these older bikes ther's too much tech in the new ones for my liking!!! Having said that i do like the TFT on the BMW's.Nice job doing it up.

Thanks John :) an yep I've had a 2014 1200gsa and a 2018 gs te Rallye wouldn't have liked them out of warranty as the first one had a failed display the first day I had it, lots of esa issues, then after about 30k Miles of riding at a service the dealer managed to destroy the engine. That lead to 2 more engines a gearbox an a fd. As you say alot to be said for the older bikes solid and easy to fix although even on this BMW won't sell you any service tools on a 20+ year bike crazy really. Luckily there's a few ways to make them :) I do agree though the tft was nice on my 2018 very clear to read. Although I prefer the less distracting analogue clocks now.

Absolutely 0 apparently I invalidated the warranty when I removed the rear shock to find out it was not a nos one that was them washing their hands of it basically the Disaster video explains it a bit more, I had a big setback with my mental health with how it was handled when I tried to deal with the dealer. If it hadn't been for dad lending me £2,700 I would have had to sell her spares or repairs which was the accurate description. At least I can look forward now to some good trips as I've now got the bike it should have been although not Ohlins suspension at least she's safe now.
