Very nice! First, did your bike come with a heated seat that was stock? If so, when you got the Sargent seat did you loose the heated seat function because that is a after market non BMW seat? Second, why did you decide to get the Motech bags over BMW bags and why the soft bags? Also, does the Motech bags buckle in the wind while riding, unlike the BMW bags that are stock? Also, I would like to see your helmet lock function in a video. These bikes now a days do not come with a helmet lock attached to the bike like they use to. But your bike and all of it's tie ins look good.

No my bike didn't come with heated seat, don't really need it here in Texas. The Sargent seat can be purchased with heat, but I didn't want it. The Motech Blaze saddlebags cost $500. The BMW OEM panniers cost about $1,100, so twice as much. Also, this is my opinion, but the BMW panniers are so big and bulbus. I don't like the way they look. The SW Motech bags are very sturdy, they do not buckle in the wind. My bike doesn't have a helmet lock. What I do is place my helmet on the top case rack and use a wire lock through the helmet and top case rack. Locks it in place. I'll make a short about that later today. You can check the channel later for that. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Just about to purchase these, looks great, where did you get your rear carrier, was it easy to install?, great videos, wish our roads in the uk were as empty as yours!! Regards, Peter.(England)

Thank you kindly for watching. I just got back from a ride out to the famous motorcycle road in Texas called the Twisted Sisters and used the bags for the trip. Love them. The rear pod I purchased from Sargent cycle. You can see the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmGVo5JjZZmhnJYsi=S0N16bsW8RH4QNtX

You've given into one of the major functionalities of a sport tourer -- good luggage options. I opted for the OEM color matched side cases and rear case, with the liners.

Yes I gave in. Increasingly had more and more things to carry with me including drone and camera gear. And sometimes my wife asked me to pick something up at the store on the way home, no where to put it unless it fit in a pocket. Thanks for watching the video and commenting appreciate it

@@Texas2Tires Shad makes BMW's hard cases and makes some fine 3rd party hard options to what you have now. They also have expanding versions of some of their cases. Cases are nerdy but they turn a toy into a tool .

I've been wanting to buy this for a year now. I got the akra muffler too and I notices it's close to the muffler. Does it get hot? Doesn't melt or makes the insides hot? Thanks!
@Texas2Tires14 күн бұрын
No melting. The bike is moving so that area gets lots of wind. If you say idling for a long time, it might get hot.

@@Texas2Tires thanks, I pass through some slow moving traffic with lots of stop and go. Is the bag touching the muffler or there's a slight gap?
@Texas2Tires13 күн бұрын
@@kendelion there's a gap. The bag doesn't touch the exhaust. Originally I was only going to leave the bags on for my trip to ride the Twisted Sisters in Texas. However, I like the way the bags look and the convenience of having them, I've left the bags on and haven't taken them off. Also have the SW Motech micro tank bag, which is also great.

@@Texas2Tires nice! Thanks again! I realized your setup is under the seat, so it's lower if installed over the rear seat. I'm getting one again, had the Blaze on my Triumph, but they don't sell just the brackets. Had to sell the bags too and get one for the r1250rs
@Texas2Tires13 күн бұрын
@@kendelion Yes very true, mine are under my pod, so they are lowered down closer to the exhaust. However, again no problem with that and the bonus there is my blaze bags are locked onto my bike under the sargent pod. No one can just slip them off and walk away with them, which is the case if you just velcro them over the top of the pillion seat.

grerat video. I was in between getting hard lugguage and these. This video showed the positives. They are lighter and narrow. Yes cant fit as helmet can easilty filter with these in City trafffic.

Thanks for checking the video and commenting I really appreciate it. I really like these bags and keep them on all the time. They look great, are super useful and the price was well worth it especially when you compare to the BMW panniers which are bolus and very expensive.

Where did you get the pod?
