Very Cool!! I spent twenty years living at the Base of Mullholland Dr. @ P.C.H. I so miss those canyons!!!

Great that you enjoyed your excursion today. Nice that the BMW is working so well for you. I'm sure that Klaus could beat the Suzuki. It's the rider that makes the difference.

Good day to get out on the BMW to the Rock Store always looks like a good crowd there. The coffee shop a bit too loud for this old guy, I'm more of a pinky finger out coffee sipper. Good luck on the tooth, I'm still on the mend from the dentist visit.

As a fellow RS owner I have to say how much I like your bike. Not sure the 70 miles would be a problem as I thought you Americans did long journeys without problems [interstate etc]. In the UK we are such a small country that wherever you are you are never further than 70 miles from the sea [fact]! Despite this, 70 [plus] mile journeys are quite regular. . . . Ride safe. Gary [UK].

Hello Gary! Great to hear off a fellow RS rider! My bike is pretty mechanically sound, but I have a right wrist that doesn’t bend backwards past straight and sometimes it gives me some grief. Welcome. Joe

I have that bike, Original owner, Rode in SFO mid Nineties, Now Texas... Mine needs some TLC which you're inspiring me to do... (Check your Steering Head Bearings...)

Good to hear from you! Yes, the steering head bearings were one of the first things I did when I first got the bike. They were certainly pretty knackered. Joe

Looks a good ride, don't really get chance to get up to 80-90 on our roads, not legally anyway. I notice the volt meter doesn't appear to be working, but you don't have any charging warning lights on so I guess it's just the gauge or the wiring.. Nice to see the old bike getting a good work out.

@@JdilpkleRS I've driven in California, my son lived in Pacifica just outside of San Francisco for several years, in fact I've driven in quite a few States over the years but never on a motorbike. My volt meter seems reasonably steady except for vibration over bumps, kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYuci6mom5adfZY. Since the video I now get the volt meter readings slightly higher, I realised the front brake light was stuck on. I disconnected the brake light for now because I think I would have to bleed the brakes again when I replace the switch. At the moment I just want to ride the bike and the rear brake light works fine, my thought is when I'm braking I tend to use both brakes together so my brake light will come on regardless. What do you think is causing the erratic movement, erratic charging?
