BMW R1150GS John Gemi Stg 11d chip

Step by step installation of John Gemi ( in my case stage 11d) chip on a BMW R1150GS motorcycle. It's the same for the 1150 boxer engines. Thanks John!!

Nice vid thanks for the video. Do you know whether you need a Y pipe (no cat) and a stubby or say a Remus for the chip, or does it work with the Stock Cat and can? I was hoping to choose 9,10 or 11 with K&N, stock cat and stubby

Tenho há alguns anos. A grande diferença é que tens a potencia disponível mais cedo, o que faz toda a diferença numa moto com 85cv. Consegues melhor desempenho em ultrapassagens e numa condução mais desportiva. Recomendo!

The power is available sooner, it makes a completely diferrent bike, for better.

20 year R owner. Witnessed lots of adaptations, with no results. Research shows the results to be non existent. If you spend 5k in upgrades, u get less than 10hp. Just buy a fast bike. The only way to gain performance on an r1150rt is to, reduce gvw, and lose some lbs yourself. Less weight, faster bike. I can go into technical detail if you like. Ty. Good luck.

Sam Sam I agree ... I have always been dubious about changes done that apparently were ‘missed’ by BMWs engineers. It can happen, but there is usually a price to pay in terms of longevity of the engine or fuel economy. I have a R1150GS and sure, would love more HP - so I lost 30lbs and both the bike (and I) are much more responsive ;)

A friend with a rockster (same engine) put in high compression pistons and a few other mods. It's pretty intense....But real thirsty.
