Very nice review. I rode the R12 a few weeks ago at a BMW Demo event and I share the same thoughts that you have. Very nice small cruiser with a lot of features and tech. The one thing I was disappointed in was there was no fuel gage. I have a BMW F750 GS and like that style of bike, but I would consider this if I was looking for a cruiser. I think I might try out the Triumph Speedmaster first though. It would be interesting to compare the two. Thanks again and ride safe.

Have the Option 719 with gold wheels, love this bike, fuel gauge not as annoying as you think, reset the trip after fuelling and you have about 150 miles, fuel light comes on at 120 miles.

@@BJ900RS I had on old Suzuki C50T a few years ago and it didn’t have a gas gage either and I did the same thing with the trip odometer and it was really no big deal as you say. I’m just wondering why they omitted it. I love the handling and style of the R12. It was a blast to ride when I rode it.

Would you say this bike is good for a new rider? (Great video Man, beautiful bike 😊)

Thanks, it's an easy bike to ride, no real tech to distract you from your riding, low seat height so no worries of not getting your feet down and an engine that will keep you entertained for a while. It's certainly one to check out if you haven't tested one before.

Problem with these Air/Oil Engines is the Dry-Clutch...if they go bad, it's a nightmare to work on, as you have to remove the whole engine, part of the frame to get to the clutch, which is in the rear of the cylinders as opposed to the liquid cooled Boxers where the clutch is simple to get to.

Cool bike, I'd still go for the nine t cuz I like the looks better.

I like the look of them but the seat height is a bit low for me. Much prefer a higher bike not keen on feeling like a circus bear on a bike 😉
